Sometimes as hard as I try, I just can't see why things are not working. At least for me this happens often when I try new things I just don't see the problem.
I hired a guy once to help me with something I was trying to do for months but couldn't get it to work, and he literally articulated why it's not working in minutes (and showed me a solution). And next week I was up and running!
Basically the way I see it is that the problem is that we often don't see the problem, it's simple as that. And days, months or even years can go by. So having someone take a look from a different perspective is often the fastest way to identify and fix the problem to move you forward.
