I want to sell a domain and I'm wondering if this would be considered spam?

I want to try and sell one of my domain names.

I think it might be interesting for a big travel company. I guessing it would be brandable for either a website about traveling light or an online store that sells small travel items.

Is it ok to contact them through the contact forms on their website or would this be considered spam?

Yes... it's ok... Many domainers, that I know, do that...

They contact businesses directly that related with the niche and might interested with the domain.
You could also make a website around the domain, rank the site, and sell it. The domain could be sold easier.

Technically it is not spam but it could be viewed as a bit "spammy".

You could contact them through the contact form and ask them what would be the best way to contact management and if they have a preferred email address.

Yeah , usually they sell through email . Most of company will take as spam while you imagine if the submit form send those email to not related department, they 80% will take it as spam rather than transfer it to the correct department.
It would be the best that you can direct talk , phone call or email to the right person who have the power of decision making.
Because not everyone in the company know the advantages of getting a good domain name like you do . Only the right person or who involve with this will take in concern.
Try to get to the right person directly .

I thought it's pretty hard to sell domain to companies... If you want to sell domain to companies, you must contact the CEO/ big boss directly or your email will lost in the company's bureaucracy.

At first, you should try to sell the domain to website owners. They take your offer more seriously, they understand the benefit of the domain for their business, and you can close the transaction immediately.

      Maybe that would be better.
