I had mentioned in another post that I would like to be able to get analytics on links in my WF posts, sig, twitter, etc. There were a couple of interesting mentions regarding bit.ly.

For those of you using bit.ly, please share your ideas, tips techniques, strategies, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry if you only wanted answers in regards to bit.ly.

I use google url builder to track all my links. It's much easier to access them all in one place + it allows me to see how traffic from different sources converts in my goals set up in GA.

Nope, you're good. I'm looking for ways to track traffic in general so this is helpful. I'll check it out.

      Thanks,

I also use google url, but I recently switched to get clicky, it allows easy image tracking using images I've loaded on one of my website.

I checked out bit.ly but didn't really like it.

bit.ly is ok, not bad. I prefer "pretty link lite" plugin for wordpress.

It makes short url using your own domain. It also tracks hits on URL and gives a full report on where it came from – forums, blog comments, emails etc.
