I have An Idea need your opinion

I have a few ideas in my mind; just need some opinion from all of you.

I think we can keep our new site noindex, nofollow till we create some good content and make some high pr relevant dofollow backlinks. After that we can publish site as index and follow. I am about to implement this idea in one of my site.

So, what do you people think about the idea.

    It's a bad idea. My sites are indexed from the second they're live. Getting content on them takes about an hour at the most, and it speeds up the process of getting into the search engines.

    What's the point in waiting?

      Totally agree! There have been few instances where a new site with no content has ranked on google for a low competition keyword.

      Totally agree with that. No matter how many things you will write on the 2nd version of your website, you will still be adding more and more things. So better start of what you have, keep adding and the results will come naturally

    I think it may be detrimental as well, since the site suddenly has all these backlinks as soon as it is indexed. The search engine might smell something fishy in that regard.

    Correct and enlighten me if I'm wrong about this.

    Not letting your site Indexed, no matter on temporary basis, is really not a good Idea.
    Also even if its indexed with no content, its not going to rank No.1 in Search engine in lightning speed.
    So its good if we do off Page side by side with keeping some basic level content & also optimizing content side by side is recommended.

    You may not be able to "hide" you're site as well as you think you are. I ran into a prob with the WP theme I was using. Turns out it was really good at internally linking the posts (that had ZERO content) on them from the slide show I was using. So I had 8 pages indexed with nothing on them. I didn't intend on these pages ever being seen but there you have it and I had to make a mad dash to get quality content on them.

    As soon as my sites go live they have a couple of sentences on and thats it. As soon as I add more content and back links Google sees it all appear naturally rather than in one go.

    Also, you want to get your site indexed as soon as possible so that it starts ageing and getting more authority in Googles eyes.

    Yeah, that is a bad idea in my view.

    Your site gets indexed within a few hours.

    Now, you don't have to write bigger content. You just have to be relevant to the topic.
