Copyright question

Hello all
I have a client who has asked me to reproduce a design for a tee shirt. She is a survivor of breast cancer and wants a tee shirt made up.
1. She want to know if she can copyright the design?
2. If she can use the pink ribbon in the design.

    1. I don't see why not.
    2. Ask a lawyer. The pink ribbon may or may not be copyrighted/trademarked by someone. It's best to ask a qualified attorney and find out for sure.

    I'm not a lawyer, but as long as the pink ribbon doesn't look too much like any trademark, then I don't see why that would be a problem. But ribbons are a common thing, so I would think that you could do that, if you aren't just copying another logo and printing it on a t-shirt.
