I think you will find that your traffic is not targeted enough. When you get targeted traffic people already are in the right mind set for buying rather than just interest.

It doesn't matter how much you spent. There is no guarantee you will make money. You need to narow in on your target audience. You can do this by testing different demographics and or copy. When you find a sample in your test that is giving good results, then turn up the advertising.

You may want to send them to a page on your own site and prime them before sending them to the affliate.

You need to forget the idea that clicks = cash, it's not that simple.

As the people above me have already stated you NEED to zero in on your target audience, make sure they're interested in your offer and most importantly catch them while they're in BUYER mode!

I personally don't use facebook ads to direct link to affiliate products because I don't believe the visitors to facebook are in BUYER mode, they are there to see there friends photo's and post status updates etc. When I do facebook marketing I promote my squeeze page and promote to them later.

I think that product is doing very well, maybe you need to examine the delivery of your material.. is it a review site? And people want to see before and after shots on weight loss stuff. I don't speak as an expert, I speak as a new mom that is tempted by new stuff in weight loss and exercise. I am wise enough to know that hard work is what it takes, but those pretty pictures of doughy people becoming hard bodies are a big pull..

    Just sayin'

That's a very broad keyword. Perhaps you should go for a keyword that's more specific to the product. Keyword research is not something that can be rushed.

      On the bright side...
You did accomplish one thing for 110$ you now know what your doing is not effective so you can cross it off the list...

Lastly, thats a very popular product, it sells well, that tells me your competing against super affiliates and sites that have authority, thats going to be tough no matter what approach you take. High gravity does not automatically mean its a good product to sell...

      Hope that helps...

Honestly - I don't want to offend or criticise you at all, but I'm surprised you got a sale at all, this way. I'd have put money on your not selling one like that.

Still, I'd have been wrong this time, as it turns out. But if you're a gambling man, I'll happily have a little bet with you that the next 300 hops, produced exactly the same way, won't bring another sale. I'll even give you odds.

Tweak your marketing piece and test new headlines and text. Do some more keyword research to get more targeted traffic and use different marketing techniques like articles, traffic exchange etc.

    Hi
I had exactly the same problem when I started in affiliate marketing, had a load of visits and clicks but no sales. Keywood research is the key and many people looking at "how to lose fat" want a quick fix and not to have to train and diet.....I use the abs programme myself so know it takes effort. I had the same problem using the keyword "flatten your stomach fast" and it's not until I learnt more about keywords and people that I realised where I was going wrong.
    Hope that helps

I would agree wiht others you need to get to targeted traffic and maybe not selling anything at the frist time but advertise your sqeeze page and when you will get a list then sell them your products. I think it is more profitable get people to your list nd then sell your prodcts to them. I hope this will help you. E.

People from Facebook have a tenancy not to want to buy.. Great for brand awareness though. Try bing and yahoo. Still good traffic.

You need more targeted traffic. And send them through the squeeze page first before you send them to the sales page.

    Are you still making profit?

See how high you can get your conversions, split test different pages with A and B split testing and see which one is going to do better.

  • split text the headline, video, etc... to figure out the problem it could be the source as well

I have had the same experience with direct linking on FB for this exact same product before. Hence I won't recommend direct linking since it really does show that cold traffic on FB is much more of "browser traffic" than "buyer traffic".

Best you build a review blog with a squeeze page for list building. Builds trust and relationship with your prospects. This warms up your once cold traffic into warmer leads, which should translate into higher conversion rates and sales. The fact that it's a high gravity CB product for several years is proof that this is a solid product that sells if promoted effectively, despite the fierce competition.

You have to be a scientist with the tracking and conversion if you are walking away with $30. Mike has affiliates doing most of the work for him. He sells alot as well. It can easily cost $100 to obtain one customer. I have a funnel that gives me the ability to earn up to $1,720 per person so paid advertising is definitely doable. If all I could make was $30 bucks I would be looking for super cheap traffic and I would be tracking everything.
