Youtube Video Question

I write in the mental health niche and wondering how I could turn my content into Youtube videos. If I write an article such as "10 ways to improve your life" how could that be turned into a video. Any ideas?

    Hi,
You can get software that will turn your articles to videos. Do a search on Google to find some. One I remember is called video go round.

There are a few ways you could do this.

    1. You could set up text slides to background music
    2. Take those same text slides and record your voice reading them (turn the music down appropriately)
    3. You could memorize the slides, or have them written on a piece of paper and speak to the camera like a presentation. (This is assuming you don't have a fear of being in front of the camera)

If you need something done fast, number 1 is the easiest. The 2nd option is relatively quick and will be considered professional. The 3rd option can make your audience feel as if they know you better, but obviously will take the longest. If this is just want a quick video, but it doesn't need to be anything special, just go with the 1st option.

To make the video you can just use a free program like windows movie maker or imovie for the Mac. Stay away from over extravagant slide transitions, keep it clean.

    Hope that helped!

You could make a power point presentation and use something like Jing or Camtasia to make a video of the PPT and upload it to Youtube. You could just take the main sections of your already written article and put onto the different slides and then either talk over the slides so you give some more background info or leave it as it is.

        Hope that helps

I've started doing this with an organic health blog I started a while back. Seeing someone charismatic that has memorized the post (or used a form of teleprompter) always grabs my attention more than text on a screen. If the video is just text, I usually leave it alone. I don't know if there's any quantitative data proving me wrong, but this is just a humble opinion.

You get that article or what not, turn it into a handy script. Hire a VO and then an animator or you can do it yourself. Upload the finish product onto youtube. Bam! Actually I do animation videos as well.

You can try a text to speech solution to convert articles into audio. Add in some pictures in Movie Maker and you're done!

    Hi

Things like "10 Tips" are easy for YouTube. Make a slide show with one slide per tip, then create a movie from the slides. You can add music or voice over and you're done.

You can use a sight that has synthesized voices or go to fiverr and hire someone to record the voice over.

I guess OP is not a composer. Also why do you think he intends to spend $200 on pictures and music to make a simply video.

I found this inexpensive, since for 1000 such videos you need no more than $200 000.

Like the others mentioned, there are a few softwares that can do that a lot quicker than if you choose to do it manually. Google it, theres a few out there.

Great advice. Thank you. One last question, do you think people prefer video over text or does it depend on what is being presented?
