Wordpress blogs or Blogger blogs?

Hey Warriors,

I am fixing to do some niche sites but want to do them on either Wordpress blogs or Blogger blogs and would like your opinion on which is the best?

I will be adding adsense and affiliate products.

I have my own servers and domains but for this adventure I want to try these options..

I have about 15 niche products I had created with 50 articles on each.

I am open for opinions and if you have a better option than the two mentioned please let me know..

I am looking for the one that has more SE weight and can get ranked better.

I appreciate your time..

Dennis

    Hosted wordpress by far

This same question gets asked at least twice a month though so if you do a search you'll probably find lots of people have already answered it.

Yeah, I believe that question has also been answered several times on the forum. At least for the searches I have done. and yes I mean setting up your own blog from scratch (wordpress) on your own host system.

I believe Blogger is hosted and you cannot set that up on your own.

        How to Migrate a Self-Hosted Blogger Blog to a Self-Hosted Wordpress Blog | eHow.com

If you should want to transfer all your Blogger blog files, archives, and images to a Wordpress blog, the tools to help you do that are fairly easy to use. This article applies to blogs that you host yourself on your own domain, not to blogs that are published at the free Blogspot.com or Wordpress.com sites.
Looks like you can host blogger blogs on your own hosting. Why you'd want to though, is another question

        Hi Cyrus,

Its best to use WordPress.org with a hosted account
He doesn't want to - he's already explained that.

        Hi Dennis,

        Jeff is right.

But if it's between Wordpress.com and Blogger, then Blogger is the choice. The reason being you can't have blatant affiliate links, ads, or Adsense on Wordpress.com blogs, but you can on Blogger. Wordpress.com is great for driving some traffic to your other sites though.

Bloggers not bad, but I'd recommend Wordpress. I have both. Wordpress is best, you can more with it, but blogger's still good especially for newbies, hobbies, testing markets, etc.

I may just set up a site and use subdomains..

This is a test I am wanting to do and don't want to buy domains for each niche I create cause it will turn out to be a lot of domains

So I may just do the ol generic domain with subdomains..

And use wordpress and blogger to get traffic to the subdomains..

Its best to use WordPress.org with a hosted account. As there are a lot of themes and best of all the user friendly plugins that wordpress have, they can help you in SEO and a lot of other things in marketing as well.

    WordPress.org is the best.

By the way, if you are thinking of using 50 articles for each niche, I suggest that you will want to submit 10 of them to the Ezine.com. As it generate the most traffic from all the article directories.

Lastly, r all your niche related to each other? If there are not related at all, I will suggest that you will open a blog for a niche, this way your blog will be very focus and thus rank higher, than all the niches in a blog.

Wordpress on your own domain. That is THE way to go.

Blogger is not even an option for a professional site IMO.

    Wordpress.org (self-hosted) > Blogger.com > Wordpress.com

Blogger will be easier for you to get up and running quicker, as well as monetized with Adsense.

    Good luck
