Today I got a call from Godaddy and asked me some questions about my domains, website hostings and SEO strategies. He said he wanted to check some information on my account. I'm surprise on this. Did anybody get the similar call from Godaddy before?

Yeah they call you fairly regularly once you've bought stuff from them. They'll call you even more if you ask for help on something that their inferior services inherently screws up for and try to get you to buy more stuff.

Unfortunately I'm a customer all again...I need a few domains this morning and I always comparison shop between GD & NameCheap...I ended up getting 11 domains (.com/.info) from GD for less than the cost of 5 from NC with a coupon code. Now I'm expecting more calls from GD...

Really? I never once received a phone call from GD and I have bought services/domains from them over the past few years. Maybe they have a bad number on file, which I guess is a good thing.

    Hi,

They usually call me once a year like clockwork. It's a sales call. They want you to buy their hosting and SEO services.

I would never buy anything from them but domain registration so I say "Thank you" and
    hang up.

I actually got a call like this last weekend.

They called because I had ust purchased two domains and I had one that was set to expire w/o auto re-new and they wanted to know if I wnated to renew it then they checked the rest of my domains for me over the phone. Not sure if I was happy they did it or just annoyed that they were trying to sell me.

While they're not as aggressive as Register.com and NetworkSolutions.com when it comes to the hard sell phone call, they do make these calls ever so often.

Not out of the ordinary at all.

And what is all the negative comments about GD calling you. Never heard any other domain company do that. Who know it could be Danica wanting you to take you for a spin around the track

I've bought a few domains off them and never recieved any phone calls or anything from them. More likely to happen if your a regular customer with lot's of domains and/or hosting under your belt.

I get a call every time I buy a domain name. I know it's godaddy - I Google the number.

Although I'm not thrilled with GD, there's something to be said about the follow-up call, it's good customer service.

They never called me in the past, but I try to avoid them now. Worst interface EVER. I truly hate them. I did get a call from hostgator recently which surprised me.
