Building a list - is this a good plan?

This is my plan to build a list:

List my optin form clearly on the my site so its visibly on every page of the site and also at the end of the main page. I will offer a free report or 2 chapters of a full ebook (plr) for their e-mail. I will also send the them a series of autoresponder messages and at the end of the message offer a link to the full ebook?

Does this sounds good or are there effective ways?
Is it easier to get good conversions if I´m using an affiliate tried and tested approach vs selling my own plr ebook?

Sincerely
Karl

What does your main page look like? I would recommend against using it on a typical web page with navigation. I always teach people how to set up a squeeze page (where there are only 2 options, sign up to your list or leave). This will dramatically increase your conversions.

I hope this helps. PM me if you have any questions!

  • You may also want to try and use a pop up script like pop up domination. This converts the best for me when someone lands on my site. If possible, though, send them to a squeeze page with your offer to sign up. This converts better than on page methods.

Including your offer at the end of each email is okay, just don't over sell. I try and bring them back to the site and get them engaging in my content. This reinforces that I am an authority and over time allows the brand to become stronger in their minds. Then when you offer them something they are happy to check it out because they know they can trust you.

I would say that your plan works, although you'll need to ensure that the PLR material is up to a high standard and also personalised to you and your business. Turn it into something more unique that visitors can't get anywhere else.

You may also want to consider using a pop-up that appears on the page after a certain amount of time. Something like 'Pop Up Domination'.

What exactly do you mean by 'an affiliate tried and tested approach'? Do you mean 'get affiliates to promote it'? If that is what you mean, then yes, getting high quality affiliates who have good relationships with their subscribers is great for traffic and good conversions.

You may also want to look at Solo Ads from providers here on the Warrior Forum.
