Source for Finding a Certain Type of Business

I potentially have an opportunity to be a sole-distributor for a product that looks to be really good. It is a product geared towards handgun owners, and I will get to test it out tomorrow. But pending it being a good product, do you know any methods/lists or anything like that for finding businesses to approach? I suppose I'll be looking for anything from local gun shops, to bigger nationwide gun shops, to even national magazines, I suppose. I'd appreciate any ideas if you have any experience in this area. Thanks.

LegionNate, if I understood you correctly, you're looking for a list of handgun owners (perhaps, in the USA?). Is that correct?

Assuming that your answer is a "yes," I did a research on Google and I learned that putting up a list of handgun owners in the USA is illegal. Perhaps, you can do some tedious data-mining on Craigslist. Please let me know if I just misunderstood what you are trying to accomplish.

John, thanks. Well, no not handgun owners (individuals). I'm looking for gun shops and the like where I can place this handgun accessory, on a wholesale level.

LegionNate, what you need are leads. You may try Yellow Pages. Use "handgun" as the keyword plus your target city or zip code.

Modesty aside, we have a separate data researching service. Feel free to contact us if you feel it tedious to do a research on your own.
