I've been told it was a good idea to by "my" domain name, which I have done. But I read this great suggestion on Tim Ferriss's blog: Buy domain names that are easy to spell, easy to say, and with .com. What do you think? And what do you do? Here is the link his blog post: How to Buy Domain Names Like a Pro: 10 Tips from the Founder of PhoneTag.com It has tons of info for you! |

I buy domains from GoDaddy for all the affiliate programs that I promote and do a redirect. If I plan on doing offline promotion and I know that the people will have to key in the web address, I make sure that I buy a dot com. For products that I will be promoting only online (esp PPC) and people will be clicking on a link, I usually buy a .info because they are alot cheaper and you can still get some good names. |
