Product Reviews - What's the purpose?

What is the point of asking for reviews on a product on the "warrior for hire" section?

Is is so the product creator can have internal feedback on his product before he launches?

or is it so the product creator can have actual reviews on his WSO thread?

    1. Is is so the product creator can have internal feedback on his product before he launches?
    Yes.

    2. or is it so the product creator can have actual reviews on his WSO thread?
    Yes.

But... mostly WSO vendors ask for review at 'Warriors for Hire' section to get initial reviews for their WSOs. So when they launched the WSO, the WSO has already "weight" on it.

The initial visitors/ buyers could be convincing of the WSOs.

I might be wrong but my understanding is it's because it's like having a testimonial on your site and if you see others saying something good about a product then you are more likely to at least have a look at it.

Yes, genuine or not, the reviews cum testimonials would still carry some weight. I guess if the reviews do cover some specific aspects of the product, then they would come across as genuine and would hence be more convincing.

Testimonials is a powerful proof of value. In the internet marketing arena they have lost a lot of their weight but the more detailed the testimony the more believable it is to the public.
