sending traffic direct to your website won`t get you as good results as appose to sending traffic direct to a squeeze page

as to things to give away to build your list

if you really want your subscribers to be responsive then give them something of very high value

it may take you longer but it`s certainly wirth the extra time you put in

i would do some research and put together a quality report/videos or both or a mini course of some kind but if you don`t know the market you may have to do a fair bit of research first

if your using paid traffic sending traffic to your website will generally have very low conversions unless you have a killer website with a lot of content and it looks very good

if your using free traffic then sending traffic to your site while your getting your squeeze page sorted out is fine

      Hi Paul,

I was going to build a squeeze page on my web address before i actually publish the finished website. When you say put a report together, do you mean build an ebook?

Is there anywhere where I can get qualitiy information about that?

      Thanks

For the beauty tips ebook, just search Google and type in beauty tips ebooks with MRR. Hopefully you can get free ebooks you can give away for free to your clients.

On your squeeze page, you could have a video to make it more inviting to clients with powerful heading/some text and obviously your opt in box simply asking for their email address.

Thanks for the video. It certainly takes the hard work out of building a squeeze page.

    Hi,
You can just install wordpress on your domain, login and get a feel of the administration dashboard. You will learn more than what you might find in ebooks, due to frequent changes.

    Tips:
    1) Go to the post/pages and get a feel of how you can publish new pages. Check all options, you can save a post/page without publishing, get a feel of the editor, etc.

    2) Always install/do crucial plugins/things before publishing a page. (Crucial = xml sitemap, html sitemap, configure permalinks, setup terms/policy pages first)

    3) Check these links for PLR ebooks that you can buy and give away in your squeeze page:
Beauty PLR Ebooks with private label rights
    Beauty Plr Ebooks
Beauty PLR | Beauty PLR eBooks | Acne PLR | Health PLR

Last tip: Come over here once everyday for 'cutting-edge' IM tips!

    Peace,
    Amod

I'd advise you to narrow down exactly what you will be promoting. Simply having a squeeze page promoting anything and everything to do with beauty products is not enough. You will lose a hell of a lot of prospects if you have no plan in place from the start. Why would anyone want to be on your list when there are plenty of experts out there with million dollar websites that have been in the beauty industry for many years? Think long and hard about your approach.

Example: Driving traffic to a squeeze page where you promote "weight loss" products is not enough for you to build a responsive list, unless you have a quality product that helps people lose weight in a way that no other product does. You will find it difficult to compete. What's your USP (unique selling point)..

If you are an expert in the beauty niche then you need to give people a reason to listen to you, and no one else. If you have no idea about this niche then you are going to find it very difficult to create a business model around this.

Think about why you are doing this. Are you a guy? If so, what makes you think you can continually provide value to your prospects? Setting up a list to sell products is the WORST goal to have. Your list is an asset. It's there for a long time and you will need to be completely 100% transparent in your marketing if they are ever going to know, like and trust you. Sure you might make a few bucks along the way, but i can guarantee it will be short lived.

Don't take this advice as being pessimistic, i just know for a fact that most people out there today fail in this industry, and it's not because they haven't taken action, it's because they have no bloody idea what their goals are. I would tell you right now, if you are not an expert (or at least knowledgeable) in this niche, you are not thinking this through properly. You can make money in the beauty industry, but why would you put so much effort into building a list in an industry you are not knowledgeable about?

If you are an expert, then you should definitely create your own product. I'm curious as to how you would create a video course about promoting beauty products like some have said here. It seems people on this forum regurgitate the same crap on every bloody thread they answer to.

Your goal for building a list is to provide VALUE, not to sell products. Anyone who is doing the latter is not worth listening to because they have never taken a marketing course in their bloody life. Are you an opportunity seeker or an entrepreneur? Make this decision from the very start and don't fall by the wayside like so many others who have gone before you.

A good trick for finding the ebooks in your in any niche is to type into Google what you're looking for followed by the letters PDF and Google will bring up all of the files related to that subject that are in a PDF format. (For anybody that doesn't know PDF is the format ebooks are created in)

So for example in your case you type into Google ( beauty tips PDF ) and Google will give you all of the PDF it can find related to beauty tips all you need to do is read through them to find one suitable for what you're looking for.

I would recommend rewriting them into your own words so that you do not get in trouble for plagiarising someone else's e-book but this is generally a good place to start.

Another great place to start is to go to YouTube compile a load of YouTube videos related to the beauty industry with great tips in them and offer these to your opt ins you don't need to mention to them on the squeeze page that the videos you're going to give them for free for opt in are actually free on YouTube already you just need to enable them on your website.

retsced that was one deep post and to the point thanks.

Yes I have got marketing experience, although I am not an expert, I think that the guys here where just telling me about the tools out there and its up to me how I utilise those resources.

Beauty products are only one tiny part of the products which I would be selliing on my website, and I came up with the idea of giving a guide on beauty tips as a way of building a list, because women are the main people whom I want on that list.

I would then notify them when my website was published and there would be well branded beauty products as well as the other items whch I am going to offer.

I am not into the one minute wonder, get rich quick approach, I am going to build a customer focused website and take my time to develop relationships, however you have to start somewhere with regards to traffic and this is only one to of the stratagies that I am looking to adopt.

I sm grateful for every last letter of information and the time that people have taken to give it to me, I will always weigh up peoples approaches to solutions in all areas of my life, but I know that the buck stops with me and my decisions

dafella Optimize press makes building a squeeze page super simple. You will want to test your conversion until it is at least 25%. Narrow down your niche into a sub niche. Target a certain type of person looking for beauty products. Build a relationship with your list by offering a ton of value. You do not have to deliver a e-book you can also give away a free video that you do yourself. You can use a camcorder or I-phone and make a really personal video for your free gift. Do you have a funnel sequence planned out?

Have you thought about what the customers of the cosmetics want?

Do they really want a crappy e-book? What sort of affiliate product are you promoting, do you know how to get a discount code? If you do then direct link and set up a lightbox that will appear where you can tell the customer to opt-in for an exclusive discount code.

I know of a script that I could install to do this for you.

Overall you may need to do some more market research and think about what type of list you want to build, and if you want to be the pushy salesman or helpful guy handing out coupons?
