Interesting to say the least. I am always curious as to how these people get away with the scams.
Do they "attract" folks that "just don't think"? We have a friend who just started in a "mlm" type of business, and I would not touch it for anything! She was so "excited" when she bought into it, but she is having problems with trying to find others to join. The reason I WILL NOT join....why would you pay $400+ to shop to get rebates???? I've checked out the sites they have, and if you do your homework(doesn't take long), you really aren't saving that much. Let alone getting your $400 back! I am a skeptic, I guess. |

Apparently Dr Phil did a show not to long ago on work at home scams and it didn't do any good. I still get people asking me daily about this program they saw on there or this one and even if I do direct them to a legit site they still scream scam. It gets very frustrating but the messages of thanks do make it worthwhile.

Thanks Jeff for linking to my blog to let everyone know about this. I hope on the show they use some of the information Rebecca gave them to distinguish between those scams and the legitimate affiliate marketing industry. It's scams like this and the fake Obama Stimulus grant scams the FTC is starting to crack down on and warn consumers about that give our industry a black eye.

I would expect any network coverage of this subject to be clueless. The reporters are employees and don't know much about business.
If something is really a scam, they can probably do a decent job of covering that- but they will tend toward labeling anything a scam. |
