Anyone got the skinny on ContentDesk?

INTERNET MARKETING

A friend of mine came across ContentDesk and wanted to join them as a writer. She submitted a few different niches that she would be interested in writing about, but has had no reply, except for a bunch of spam in the spam box.

Anyone know if this place 'legitimately' HIRES writers, as the opt-in purports? Or is it just a clever way to build a list?

ContentDesk is (or was) primarily software for creating sites. Haven't heard of them hiring writers.
