Just my opinion but I would like to see the poll broken up with an 18-25 category and a 26-34 category. Mainly the maturity and experience level of a 34 y.o. is extremely different from an 18 y.o.

  Well Eric it is simple .. I am online 14 - 18 hours a day 7 days a week and have been online for 23 years.. Minus out a few days off here and there then we get an estimate of 100,000 + hours..lol

Jared - there recently has been an influx of younger members but the majority of established Warriors are older - you should know that, you've been here awhile. The younger ones come and go, but rarely do they have the acumen to stick to it. Many youth are looking for somewhere to pal around with other youth and do not realize what they might learn from more seasoned business minds, while those who have been in the
real world for a time are more focused on exactly what they want by the time they arrive here. That is not to say some of the youth that come to the forum haven't had some terrific input. It's just they are new at business and they are at ages where they have to test the water in many areas of business before they put final decisions about where they are going into play.

If people are overly worried about what age others are instead of what their message is, they miss a grand wealth of information they could use.

I have also noticed that "Make Money Quick" is a huge trend for youngsters... So they jump on the forum, finally realize that they actually have to learn things and put in the effort - and you never hear of them again...

No, I'm sorry - I don't think it is an off kiltered generalization at all. Yes, older people drop out, too - but I believe that youth is more transient in here, just as they are elsewhere. It's a sociological mode that is quite normal, and should be expected. While I don't have numbers I've been in here close to 5 years and that has been my observation. If I were planning on making money from them..I'd have the stats as well.

That is exactly the attitude we try to discourage in here and accounts for the recent decline of this forum -- many very vital members are leaving because of it. If you can't learn a business mode, you won't be here long anyway then your precious stats will get all F**ked up.

I am a full time IM'er at the age of 22...

- Trips to Europe in the summer
- Road trips across North America
- Party-Hardy on week-ends...

...I just don't really see the relevance between doing IM and going out

  OMG, I was just about to say I am the oldest Warrior so far.... will turn 60 next month.
  
  Then I saw...
  "Well, I'm so old I'm off the scale. My first upgrade was from bronze to iron.
  "Actually I'm 60, but with a mental age of about 30. Wouldn't like to say what my physical age is like, but I've been working on my first million in front of my PC for around a thousand years.
  "Oh, and I'm male. At least I was the last time I looked . . ."
  
  and now I feel MUCH better. And, uh - my mental age is kinda more like a frisky 14 going on 27. LOL.
  
  Heck, I'm so old I remember what it was like BEFORE TV. Then came rabbit ears, then came color... and so on. And I also remember when phone numbers went like, Evergreen 6 - 4937 or Juniper 5 - 7 thousand.
  
  And we had to wear saddle shoes to school every day, with PF Flyers in the summer.

I'll be turning 47 this month and I still feel like I'm 25 but I'm so glad that I'm NOT 25.

Being older really has it's advantages aside from those extra wrinkles and pounds I think 47 is a great age to be!

Oh - and I'm female, I hope you could tell that by my photo.......

Well, I'm so old I'm off the scale. My first upgrade was from bronze to iron.

Actually I'm 60, but with a mental age of about 30. Wouldn't like to say what my physical age is like, but I've been working on my first million in front of my PC for around a thousand years.

I didn't see a choice for 'Old Fart', so guess I'll go with 47.

As for computers - I sent my first email in 1985, my first text message/IM in 1986 (phone on a VAX, talk on Unix). First video teleconference was in 1991. First massively multi player game was one on Compuserve in the late 80's (mega wars maybe - anyone with a better memory than an old fart like me remember the name?) Also played Trade Wars on a few BBS back in that time frame (luved Kabol Movers - We Move ANYTHING, ANYWHERE(TM).

Sold my first ebook in 1999 - on playing black jack. First ebook I purchased was Ken Evoy's Make Your Site Sell.

I've posted three times and never answered your question, Jared.

I am female -- no male could be this much of a wench.
I am 54 and don't mind posting my age. Everyone does it - there is only one alternative.
It's not that you age - it's how you do it. There isn't anything I could do at 20 that I can't do now - straddle roll, one handed cartwheel, mountain climb, whitewater raft etc.
There are a lot of things I know now that I didn't know then. My music is still rock, but I still like it real hard. Some kid at a concert asked me how old I was a couple of years back and I replied "old enough I didn't need mommy's permission to be here". She said "well I think it's really cool you are here" (It was Drowning Pool and Ill Ninio) That puzzled me that someone would think that once you cross an age barrier that you suddenly have to stop loving hard rock. Go figure.
