Default FREE Video capturing software! ITS TRUE!

Hey guys. I haven't made very many posts but I figured
I would start offering some value to the greatest forum of all time.

Do you need video capturing software? Don't have the money to
pay for Camtasia or your 30-day trial is up?

No problem! Here is a FREE alternative:

CAMSTUDIO! Just go here http://camstudio.org/

Hope that helps!

I have it and it ROCKS. There is free cd/dvd burning software as well that burns blu-ray and hd-dvd as well as cd/dvd. I use it daily: http://cdburnerxp.se/

Hate to burst the bubble but this is really old information that most people already know.

I have several licenses for Camstasia Studio ($300 software) and I actually prefer to use www.Camstudio.org

It works better for what I do and it can produce the same or better results than camtasia.

I know people choke on that when I say it... but that's just because they do not realize how easy it is to get the same or better results with camstudio and do not know how to properly use it.

I created this video by screen capturing with Camstudio about the settings I use in both camstudio and camtasia to get the same results:

Default And for the Mac's?

I am using a Mac computer.

I've got iShowU and Jing.

iShowu doesn't produce great quality, but I guess it gets the job done. I'd love to download and use Screenflow, but my operating system (Tiger) is too old for it.

Now Jing is awesome, except for the sound quality and it's limited uses. Its great for talking to clients about their projects, but not a lot else. Jing is made by techsmith, who also make Camtasia. If they can get Jing to work on a Mac, surely it cannot be long before they release a Camtasia suitable for a Mac? I wish they would hurry up and make that application, I'd be first inline when they release it.

For now i try Fraps, but I don't know why it don't work, not capture anything.

Also try Camtasia, but it's slows my system.

Is there anything else that can be used for video capturing?

I would also like to put a vote in for Jing. It is easy to use, allows you to capture video, and images, and you can set a default ftp location which makes uploading to your site a breeze!

A happy internet marketer.

Try googling "Freez Screencapture "

Easy to use lightweight software for creating screencapture videos.

Love the free resources. Ive noticed that if you are prepared to do a little searching on the net, most paid respurces can be found in a cheaper or free version.

I was in the look of such a program some wile ago. I remember I`ve spent around 2 days searching for a similar program. Good to know there`s places where you can find what you need though.

I put off using a screen recorder because I thought Camtasia was too complicated. When I sat down to use CamStudio, I was pretty amazed at how easy and almost effortless it is to use (once I realized they default to 'no sound' and was able to get around that limitation).
