What's the going rate for a good Graphic Artist?

I'm having a hard time finding a good graphic artist. On top of that, I'm not sure what their rate is and if I'm not offering enough. What can I expect to pay for a good GA? I'd like to have 2 or 3 to outsource on a regular basis to...

Take a look over at the Warriors For Hire section. There's MANY wonderful graphic designers. Perhaps you could open 10 windows, 1 in each... start narrowing down based on who you don't like... X those windows out... and eventually you'll be left with maybe 2 or 3. Then you can message those people with what you need and see what they come back with price-wise.

If you are doing some larger projects and have a budget to throw at graphics, I would recommend 99designs. I always get my logos and sometimes web page designs done there, you always get some insanely good stuff. You also have several renditions of what you asked for presented to you which is great.

Every time I've tried to outsource graphics otherwise has been a nightmare.

I wouldn't do that. There you'll be paying at least $200-ish or something. I've had plenty of work done by Warriors that have made me some incredible graphic design (and yes I've tried 99Designs), and each piece has cost me $10-25. Personal opinion.

I would have to disagree with that. Before I started my service here, I checked out all of the designers here on this forum till date and not a single one can produce quality designs. Most, if not, probably all or to be more specific 97% of those "Designers" use stock art like these

They're not visual designers, they're visual artist to be more specific. Well I don't see anything wrong with using stock drawings, use cheap visual concepts, then use these stuff to create sales page or WSO's for at a rate below $100 is reasonable, but over $100 isn't justifiable.
