Is there a place for case studies on the WF?

Yesterday I posted a thread about a case study that I'm doing: Taking a brand new site from zero to $100/day. I described a few things I did with this new site.

Anyway, the thread was deleted, so my question to all of you who hang out here more than I do.... is there a section on the WF in which we can post live case studies?

TIA!

I suppose you can probably only do this if you are promoting a WSO.

Just my guess really as I have never had to post a case study here at the forum. You could ask one of the admin staff and I am sure they will help you out.

Good Luck with finding your answer.

I always thought these kind of threads were frowned upon because 1) they never go anywhere other than the first couple of posts and 2) if they do go somewhere beyond one or two posts its usually just a marketing gimmick.

I know there is a product review section, but I rarely venture in there, and I would be surprised if they allowed these kind of threads anywhere on the site these days.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Add it to your WF blog and put a link in your sig. I think you are allowed to do it that way. Otherwise these threads have long since been frowned on as self promotional as some went over the top.

Not allowed to post threads of an "ongoing" nature. Best place for that is your blog.

Ellen, I saw your post, and this is the answer you're looking for.

Once your case study is complete, you can start a thread to share the results.

As someone else said, ongoing "follow me" type threads usually turn into sales pitches for some tool the poster is promoting, or they die out and clutter things up until a curious soul or a spammer resurrects them.

I'm not saying you were doing this, but it's hard to say one person can do it and another can't. And once the gates are open, the stampede will begin and the forum will be unusable.

Thank you very much, all of you!

I'm going to leave the case study on my personal blog (in my sig) and on TrafficPlanet's case study section.

I totally get how these can be turned into self-promo things although that's obviously not my intention! I won't be revealing the URL for a few months until I get a nice amount of traffic to the site and anyone who steals my content would definitely be seen as copying my content by google.
