Purpose of copied articles?

I see alot of clickbank sites offering their affiliates free content that they can put on their sites. What is the purpose of this?, since these articles will no longer be original when I put them on my site, I can only guess that their purpose is to just provide more content for my site giving the visitors more pages to surf on, and not actually give a serp increase since it´s copied content?

    You've got it, pretty much. The content is there for you to fill your site and help potential buyers make their decision, usually in your favor. To be honest though I wouldn't use the content they provide. Every other affiliate will be, and then you're just white noise. Write your own, lend your voice and credibility to the topic.

    ok, what about using that article for "inspiration" and rewriting it in my own voice making it 100% original? and what is the different between that method and spun content in googles eyes?

    Well, that would be manual spinning, and we've heard people's views on that. I find it to be too time consuming for my tastes, and in the case of this content spinning it may not guarantee the inclusion of your "voice".

    If you want to use it as a reference while you do more supplementary research, that's fine.

    Here comes 'customer education.' Some customers thought that they've saved a few dollars by merely copying and pasting existing content for their affiliate products, not minding how much they're actually losing in terms of conversion. That's why it's highly-significant for writing service providers to educate customers, especially those first-time outsourcers.

    We also don't favor spinning of content, be it manual or automated, because it limits you to the 'voice' of the one who wrote the original content. It always pays to write with your own style and artistic creativity.

    My thinking is somewhat similar with you. These are increasing amount of content but not working for SERP. When I started and was new, I liked to take those. But now, I think it's better to develop own self. What we can take them is the idea from those content to develop our own content.
