Your Friends Aren't Your Buyers But... They're Real People.

Seriously in marketing we often times forget to look in our backyard for the opinions and advice from people we know.

I bought a domain name for a product I am going to promote geared towards men an hour or two ago. I searched again and found what I thought to be a better domain name. But instead of buying it I sent a text message out to 14 male friends (some single, some married and rest in relationships, pretty equal mix) asking which they would respond to better site A or site B. I did use the site I already spent money on as site B so technically it should get a slight higher positive response.

So far @5-something AM in Chicago 3 got back right away with site b (the one I bought). They're all getting up for work now so I'm curious to see the rest of the results from the others.

But remember if you're trying to tie yourself to the computer all day (never recommended) sometimes you need to reach out to your friends and people you know for a good honest answer as they are real people and consumers.

Completely agree on that. As an Internet marketer you should realize the value of offline leverage. Most of the people are so tied up to their computer that they almost forget that there is a life outside it too and the people who are gonna make them money are real people. So yes, if you are smart enough a bit of offline work can definitely do wonders in your venture. Just make sure you balance it well and you should be good.
