HELP - I was just asked by a large firm if I know anyone that could create them a website....

Hey warriors

Right now as some of you may have read I am buiding my online business but still have a full time job in a construction company.

Well I just had a meeting with a large supplier and he mentioned they do not have a website... I expressed my shock and briefly explained the trade they are missing out on and what having a website could do for them.

I told him that I am building an online business and have friends that make 10's of thousands every month online and that he really should advise his management that it is essential for their business to get one online. He explained that they do already want to have one done but have not found anyone to do it so he asked if I had any contacts to recommend.

I have read a lot about offline success recently in this forum so am reaching out for advise from any of you on this

What should I do about this ??

Do I ignore the fact I think this could be a money making opportunity and let them sort themselves out or could I do something to make this a winning situation for myself ??

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Dean

You can definitely make this a winning situation for yourself. All you need to do is:

    1) Sign up for a freelancing site such as Elance.com - Guru.com - Rentacoder.com etc. You can Google and find more.

    2) Ask your client what's the specification they have in mind for the website and what material they can provide you upfront.

    3) When you have everything on hand to get the work done, simply hire a freelancer by finding the best and the cheapest deal on the above sites.

    4) Charge the client a bit more than what the freelancer is asking you for the work and you will make a nice profit from the difference.

Hope that clears things up, kinda brief but it should work out if you try it out.

    1. Ignore a legit money making op? Are you mad? Seriously... if they need the help, have turned to you after you clearly got them re-interested with your success story, you would be crazy to not follow up... so, I've PMd you a little known site where the top designers on the web hang out, nothing against elance and guru.com and rentacoder but for top quality companies this is where I go. PM sent.

    2. Now what you do is tell them you have the contacts that can handle the job with ease, you can help them by being a middle man since you know all the geek speak and can communicate the necessary tech stuff etc... just find a way to make yourself relevant, now either ask for an upfront fee or add a %age to the fees of the designer you choose to go with, this depends on your relationship with them.

    3. Get the complete details of what needs to be done, then go to the site I PMd you, you should have made a nifty little profit before too long. Rinse and repeat.

    Cheers,

    Kunle
