Future for Marketers; Online or Offline?

So with all the constant changes in our industry, one has to do a re-assessment to see what's working well and what's not. This is something I do periodically anyway but more so in this day and age. In-effective practices kill your business or at least slow it's growth. Regular evaluations and innovative improvements will ensure growth.

My question for fellow warriors is where is the future for marketers, online or offline, and why?

Honestly...I think both. There will continue to be online businesses, and there will continue to be offline businesses that need internet marketing services.

As long as people buy stuff online...there will be successful marketers online.

Online. Take a look at all the advancements in technology. We now have Netflix, Xbox 360 networks, Amazon Kindle, Nook, and more and more people ditching their encyclopedia for simple Google searches. I think more and more things will be offered in digital format as time passes.

I'm going through a divorce with Google. I have a problem with putting too many eggs in one basket dealing with that moody witch.

Online - it is always developing and the offline market will always be incorporated into online marketing concepts some way some how.

Closing one offline client can range from simple hosting fee of 9.99/mo to a one of my high end marketing consulting packages at $10,000. Almost all my customers buy multiple products.

On the other end, my students tend to stay loyal for the most part and buy my subsequent offers. That said, I only mail my list an offer when I have an outstanding product or service.

Overall, selling to offline clients has generated much more income for me.
