What am I doing Wrong

Can someone please give me their opinion on why I am not making money. My website is #5 on the first page of google and gets 50 visitors a day (it recently moved to the first page). I get 2-4 clicks on my links per day, but no one has converted since I moved to the #7 position. I am considering buying Matt La Clear's service on the warrior forum to increase my rankings. Do you think my only problem is my ranking?

P.S.-If you know of any good high quality panda/penguin safe backlinking services or methods, or any powerful ranking method in general please tell me.

    It could literally be anything based on the information you gave:

    Wrong keywords
    Untargeted traffic
    Traffic that doesn't buy
    Traffic that doesn't subscribe
    Your website sucks
    Your copy sucks
    Your product sucks
    You're looking at personalized results and you really aren't ranked at all

    Need I go on?

    50 visitors a day? Gee golly willacker you should be rich by now!

    There's no such thing as a panda/penguin/porcupine safe backlinking method. Any website is susceptible to be hit if Google thinks it should be so.

    The answer is to get away from Google, build an audience, and make them love you.

    Google isn't going to pay you anything, after all.

    The keyword you're ranking for may not be a buyer keyword.

    I recommend since you're ranking and you're getting traffic, don't worry so much about them clicking your links and buying right off the bat.

    Focus on capturing the emails of the 50 visitors that visit your site a day.

    Create a really good opt-in giveaway and promote the hell out of it on your site in exchange for your visitor's email addresses.

    Then once they're on your email list, sell them on the product you're promoting.

    I think that content should be most important. I read many websites that help with Internet Marketing and almost every time, they always say content is the most important. It makes sense.

    This is actually pretty normal I say.

    Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Build more sites, find more methods to make money online. Don't get stuck in a rut my friend. I remember the same thing happened to me.

    Are these targeted traffic? If they are, you should have made some sales etc.

    There could be many reasons for you not making money at this point. It's hard to

    tell because i don't know what your site is about and what keywords you are being

    ranked for...

    No.

    I think your main problem is that you have a business that depends on Google for its primary traffic.

    I admit I do get quite a bit of Google traffic, just incidentally, from the backlinks on relevant sites on which my articles are syndicated, but I've always found, across my entire range of niches, that it's the worst quality, least opting-in and most rarely buying traffic out of everything I've ever tested. It's also the most precarious: as so many Warriors have found, especially over the last year or so, some of them to their very great cost, a business that depends on rankings to get its traffic can never be more than one algorithm change away from a potential accident, or even a potential disaster. It's just a way of never being fully in control of your business.

    In other words, your first two replies above, from Joe and Dan, are the ones you need to read, really. It could be anything, but you need to get away from Google, anyway.

    Most of the problem for your case is your traffic is not targeted enough. If the traffic is not targeted, your conversion will be low.

    The main problem you get untargeted traffic is you target wrong keyword. You should do keyword research first, before you rank the site. Look for profitable keywords, keywords that bring buyer traffic, keywords with huge monthly search, and low in competition.

    You need of 10X that amount of traffic, before you begin to worry about sales.

    ...if you we are talking about cold Google traffic.

    Seriously...50 visitors per day (search traffic) is not going to result in many sales.

    For sure, you have targeted the wrong keyword. If you get only 50 visitors per day, you can not expect something exceptional from it. You should target a keyword that have got reasonable amount of traffic and minimum competition.

    After that, start building good quality backlinks. Good quality means GOOD QUALITY. Always try to get backlinks from high PR relevant pages. Also, build web 2.0 properties in the sites like blogger, wordpress, tumblr, webs, weebly, blog.com etc. It really helps to boost the ranking of a site. If you follow these methods, you will be safe from Penguin.

    50 visitors per day and 2-4 clicks per day? You need more traffic so you can average out and get more clicks. What are you selling? Or is this a website designed to increase your Adsense income?
