I wonder if the traffic experts could suggest a daily routine to keep traffic and business moving?
Thanks!

I'm sure they could. Mostly what I've seen from those generating traffic is that they do a lot of content creation or have it created for them.

      9am - 12pm: Spam guestbooks

      12pm - 1pm: Lunch

      1pm - 5pm: Spam guestbooks

      Just kidding.

In the case of a die-hard blogger like myself, it's tough to split time between content creation and promotion.

I usually divide the work day into two blocks of four hours. Four hours in the morning, four hours in the afternoon.

I then sub-divide those four-hour blocks into two hours of content creation and two hours of promotion.

      Create
      Promote
      Break
      Create
      Promote

I could spend all morning or all afternoon doing one or the other but it's better for my attention span to break things up.

      Hope that helps.

Set a goal of either you writing a number of articles or hiring someone to write for you on daily bases.
Then you submit them or hire someone to do them for you.
You can outsource the whole process, if you have the money. Isn't that nice.

What I do is I brainstorm everything I want done on my site(s) that month and I break them down into "tasks". The tasks include both content creation and website promotion.

Then I have a spreadsheet with the tasks on the first column and all my sites across the top. Every day, I open up the spreadsheet and check off some of the things that need to be done. I usually work the sites from left to right in order so I'm not just working on the same site all the time.

I do it this way so that it gives me a bit of a choice as to what to do but doesn't leave it totally open ended. I can easily look in and see what needs to be done, then pick a task I feel like doing.

I found that if I had it too structured I would screw off more because I might not "feel like" doing that allotted task at that time and then I would flub dub around not getting much of anything done. Some days I feel like writing content, some days I feel like commenting on blogs etc... This gives me the freedom to be able do the things I feel like doing on that day and I am a lot more productive this way.

I also found that having them written down like this helps my productivity because it seems to create a sense of urgency when I see all the things I "have" to get done before the end of the month and also helps me feel like I have reached a goal when I can check each one off.

I'm not sure if that was really the answer you were looking for but since I spent so much time rambling on about it, I guess I will post it!

I find the most productive is to dedicate 2 hrs each day to promotion and building your list.
You can break up your day into promotion and content creation as well as working on products and doing research.

I also use a spreadsheet, like Lee, to keep each site's tasks -- broken down -- in front of me.

I prioritize / organize my day using MS Outlook. With the Calendar feature I set appointments & alarms for myself. (This software also helps me organize the "beast" -- my incoming email).

Oh -- and most importantly -- keep a photograph of your family or your "dream" on your desktop to remind you WHY you are doing any of this.

    Good luck!
