Is there any point in getting Wordpress video press?

Is it any better than just linking your youtube videos to Wordpress???

Can't see how, unless they let you use a bigger screen or something.

I use Amazon S3 and the JW Player plugin. You can customize several players to different size videos and also it has dozens of skins available.
