Fiverr advice -- how to gain offsite clients

About three days ago I put up a gig on Fiverr offering a sample of my services (art). I've already had three successful gigs purchased and completed, and have already gained another person's interest (I received a private message that asked for something a little larger than what I'm advertising).

I've browsed several threads here on WF about how people successfully earn income from Fiverr and it seems to me that the general consensus is:

(a) offer a service/product that takes very little effort/time to complete; and/or
(b) offer a small sample of your service and gain clients that would be interested in purchasing larger or more complex orders at higher prices offsite

I'm mainly focusing on the latter. My question is this: does anyone here know how I can direct people to contact me outside of Fiverr without getting banned?

I've come across people suggesting that you can attach a document or image file that has your contact details or website details -- has anyone here done this successfully in the long term?

    Hi there,

I have a method, but it is not working for english users:

I`m from Romania, and i had sent private messeges to romanian users, in our languege, to indicate the contact info`s without getting banned.

You can try Google Trasnlate too (i just tested this in romanian language).

    Hope this helps.

The main reason I started avoiding Fiverr is that most of them are not professional and scams.
I am not taking about all. but most of the are scams.
can you give me your gig links?
    thanks

Fivver is very strict on submitting contact info. Your method is attachment may work but I would first try it on a trail account.

    Hi,
I follow the same thing. I usually ask my clients abut what features they want (I develop websites) and then accordingly tell them a price. I ask them to buy multiple gigs or sometimes they give their email ids. After that all of their other orders come via the mail.

If you value your membership you should not be trying to get around their terms and conditions.

Instead why don't you look to provide your service on your own independent website and then learn to drive traffic to that.

You can place ads at places where the type of traffic are prepared to spend more and get paid higher premiums, provide higher quality services and enjoy all the freedoms of having your own service based site.

I don't know but I have a question for you in return:

Why is it that when some people try a new service, the first thing they do is figure out how to cheat?

In your case, it's probably moot anyway. Since you had an art gig, you received preferential treatment in search and may have even appeared on the front page for a day. That's why you had orders. Your gig will slowly sink and in a couple of weeks be nowhere to be found.

You need to figure out how to get more orders the conventional way and drive more traffic to your gig.

I don't intend to cheat Fiverr but I'd like to be able to offer more comprehensive services outside of Fiverr to interested parties. My goal is to use Fiverr as a place to draw in potential clients (whilst offering a sampling of my service) rather than as a long-term platform to do business through.

My gig may have initially gained preferential treatment a few days ago, but I've already received a few glowing reviews and another inquiry about my service (again, a more complex request) since my last post a few hours ago.

I contacted Fiverr customer support asking for clarification re their TOS and they've inadvertently given me an idea.

    Thanks to everyone who replied.

I like many find that Fiverr is a great place to sell Traffic. Everything else is basically nickels and dimes. I was going to sell my Killer facebook cover PLR set on there, but I totally reconsidered and find that the Warrior forum is my starting pad, and then I am off to Clickbank. You can see a sample of what is coming to WSO in my signature.

You can actually use Fiverr for the traffic to your gig, like I am going to do when I go Clickbank and of course my own list, ezines, solo ads, articles,..etc.

Don't wait for nickels and dimes. Utilize Google and other internet marketers to find these clients. My FB covers focus on internet marketers as your appearance is first and foremost, as looking professional to clients is a must.

I go wiith what Oliver said.. make an independent website and drive traffic to it, targeted to that niche. That warrior thread might be good, but to actually work effectively is something else. Traffic has become the big seller on Fiverr.

Place your submission report on your website and have the user visit it to view the report. Most people will know to hit up the main domain and gather some information on you and what you offer. That's the only safe way I have been using so far

I personally give my YouTube channel link (and of course every video has a URL they can follow for contact) every time I deliver a gig and I've delivered thousands of gigs and they have had no issue with it
