What's the common sales page you always see?

I'm pretty new to this game in terms of selling stuff, I've always been about ads and link sales but just from being around the internet in general I always see the same set out sales pages. You know, fixed with big red heading, testimonials, big pay button every so often, etc, etc.

I was just wondering if this is a common template you can buy or if it's actually a CMS or anything like that. I've never really found much about it or if it's just kind of a stand for that and people just create there own in basic HTML/CSS.

    It's mainly the aggregation of ideas that have become generally accepted. They are not necessarily right ideas (the red headline is a good example) but they are believed to be right.
