Facebook - Personal or Business for Website

I'm looking to open a Facebook fanpage for my website. Just wondering if I should setup a personal account and then create a page attached to the account, or just create a page? Is there any difference? Anybody has experience in this?

    You need to have a Facebook account before you can do anything.

    I recommend that you have a Facebook 'fan page' for your business which is linked from your website. Build that 'fan base' and then as you start to interact with your people, add them as "friends" to your personal page.

    The point to remember is that people like personal contact - they want to know that *you* care about them, not just selling something to them.

    This strategy will allow you to build what I call 'lifetime customers', people who will follow you and your business for it's lifetime. They're the best type of customer you can have.

    PS. When starting a new page it's also worthwhile 'buying' a few hundred followers just to give the appearance of popularity. These people won't give a damn about you or your product so it's piss-poor strategy to simply buy followers as a long term business plan, but sound advice to get the ball rolling.

    It is better to create a fan page with your own account ( personel ) .

    Than you will have full control on it and it is safe to use.

    No one will see the owner of the fan page. No need to fear about it.

    And if you use others facebook account, you can transfer it to your account later.

    But no need to do this all things. You can directly create fan page with your own facebook account.

    You should create FB Fan Page with your personal profile. So, you can maintain the fan page with full admin rights. You can share your fan page among your friend, you can make your friend become the fan page's co-admin.

    It's so easy and quick to create FB personal page, so it's better to have one before you create FB. With peronal page you also could create FB Ads for the Fan Page. There's a lot of benefits to create FB Fan Page with FB Personal Page.
