Clickbank Question: How to drive traffic to your own CB product?

This might be a very interesting topic for a lot of people that are creating their own products, and want to drive traffic to their CB products, plus find affiliates.

What would you recommend people to do that want to drive traffic to their CB products? Let's say someone just put his product on the CB marketplace and it got approved. What's the best strategy for this person to get some sales for their product(s)?

The key lies in getting more traffic that converts into sales so that you can build your brand on CB as well as rank your product on the first page in a certain niche.

Try Bing PPC or some solo ads. You need to prove your product converts and is worthwhile before affiliates will promote it.

    Media buying.

Look for blogs and websites in your niche by searching Google for your top keywords, just like your potential customers would be. Once you find those popular sites and blogs you then approach them and do some banner advertising.

It's the quickest, cheapest, and easiest way to get a lot of targeted traffic to your products.

    +1 +1

Like they said the best way to bring in traffic is via paid advertising : ppc (bing, 7search, ..) and media/direct buys + solo ads if you can find good ones.

This step is key to any product's success, because if done right you can be profitable on your media buys and therefore your potentiel volume is endless, and also to get your metrics (epc, cvr, etc ..) right and be able to improve them via split-testing, etc ..

    Best of luck

Another method is to go and look for other popular products on Clickbank that are in your niche or directly related. Once you have found them you can then go and search for sites and people who are promoting those products and inform them about your new product and maybe offer them a better deal than the one they are currently getting from the other products they are promoting.

That sounds like a very creative strategy I've never heard of. How do you go about finding people who are promoting certain products on ClickBank?

I was thinking the same thing, perhaps contact whoever is advertising on a particular site. For instance you Google search your niche, Find a site with folks advertising, click their banner and find a way to get a hold of them.
Maybe Will can elaborate more on this.

Well, let's say you found a similar product to yours on Clickbank called 'Product X'.

You would then go and search Google for popular terms such as:

        'Product X review'
        'Product X bonus'
        'buy Product X'

and so on. This will help you find people who are actively promoting that other product and might be interested in promoting yours. You could also do the same on Youtube and find people who might want to do a video review of your product.

The other thing you can do is search Google for the vendors hoplink. You know that one of the ways an affiliate promotes a product is using the standard old hoplink format:

        http://AFFILIATE.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net

So once you know the vendors Clickbank Id, for this example let's say it is 'product1' then you could go and search Google for the following:

        "product1.hop.clickbank.net"

That will then bring you back any places people are promoting that vendors hoplink so it will help you find people who are actively promoting that product.

if you want to make sales for your clickbank product and get more exposure to it you can either:

contact lots of people with lists within your niche and give them a free copy and tell them if they want to send it to there list they can have 100% profit

(if you have a backend offer you will still make good money for doing nothing)

    or

use solo ads and give away either part of your main product for free as your free valuable gift or create a seperate free offer instead

then use your clickbank product as the OTO or create a different product and use your clickbank product as the upsell

By driving targeted traffic to their sales page, just as it would be if they were using some other payment processor.

Their product and sales page are on their own website, Gerald, not on ClickBank's.

ClickBank hosts only the payment pages.

    It's a retailer.

If you're referring to "Marketplace search listings", this really isn't quite how it works, Gerald.

These are not "rankings", and their outcomes are determined by the search parameters input by the user.

Have a look at the Marketplace search feature in ClickBank and you'll see what I mean.

Also with CB's JV upsell you can approach other cb vendors and they can put your product in their funnel so you are leveraging their traffic and buyers. I have 3 people using mine on their upsell. In fact when you come up with the idea for your cb product you can look to see where you can plug a gap that adds to not directly competes with people in your niche so it makes JV's easier.
