Free business idea for someone who's got the talent

Hey,

Had an idea for a great business, but don't have the time right now. Do you know what cinemagraphs are?

(if not, here are some examples. [wait for GIF load] And here is the wikipedia page)

These things are very trendy. If you learn how to make them by reading some articles, you could easily sell custom ones to people. I especially think they could sell like hotcakes as part of someones "save the date" or "wedding invitation" as a digital file.

You could promote on pinterest in this niche, no problem

Anyone with the skills might want to give it a go! I would if I had the time! But since I can't, thought I'd pass it along....

Cheers,

Josh

PS - none of those links are affiliate or have anything to do with me at all. I'm not selling anything here.

That's a good share thanks. It's niches like this that are right at the start that can make lots of money. That's if you are prepared to put some work in.

Yeah, these things are getting alot of buzz of late. I think they could blow up if properly monetized.

Those remind me of the paintings from the Harry Potter books. That is really cool as a business idea. Someone who is good with photoshop and/or digital photography could make a killing. In fact I will pass this idea on to my photographer friends.

Nice! Actually might give this a go!

Does Pinterest allow you to upload GIFS?

You can upload GIFs but they won't be animated on the Pinterest site itself. One would have to click on the link to go to the original site.

Yeah... this is true. I thought about htat, but I bet you could fix it two ways:

One, you could "pin" an image of text... something that says like "Breathtaking animated wedding invitations" and then links to your site, where you have the animations.

OR, to get lots of clicks, edit the GIF into a seperate PNG or JPEG that you will pin and add a little button of text on that image saying "click to see animated" or something. Then link it to your site.

        Thanks

It's be a lot easier to market these on Pinterest if the animations were shown on the site.

Those are cool, but also a little creepy. LOL

On pinterest, would a short video of the cinemagraph be a good option? It would at least show the motion, wouldn't it? I'm not sure, I haven't explored pinterest myself.

Yeah, they are less creepy when the people dont move at all but the background moves (like a couple at a beach, moving waves). When the eyes move or whatever -- can be creepy!

You could do a video, nice tip! But, you'd just have to clarify that the real product is not a video at all (which I think makes it cooler). Anyone can animate a video, so they wont realize what a unique product it actually is!
