Advice on how to make my first dollar?

Hi guys,

I've been reading the Warrior forum for the past 2-3 weeks and found many great ideas to make money.

Here's what I've more or less collated.

I need to either create a product or promote a product as an affiliate. Since I don't really have that much cash, I think I'll start as an affiliate.

There are several networks to join, Paydotcom or Clickbank. I decided to stick with Clickbank since most marketers are actually using Clickbank.

Then we can start promoting the product with several promotion strategies.

1. PPC
2. Article Marketing
3. or SEO

I've decided to stick with article marketing. And I plan to write 5 articles a day promoting on a subject that I've some knowledge about.

But my question here is how to choose a good product to promote?

I've decided to promote either

Option 1: The Master Cleanse Book Everyone's Raving About

Option 2: The Master Cleanse Diet |Flush Toxins, Lose Weight, Boost Your Energy in 10 Days

I prefer Option 2 because the site looks professionally done and with some very decent testimonials. The thing I don't understand is how Clickbank gravity works.

Master Cleanse Secrets has a gravity of 127 while Master Cleanse Insider only has gravity of 2.49.

Does this mean that Master Cleanse Secrets is much better and I should be promoting it over Insider?

You have to consider how long a product has been around as well.

I have not looked up your products - but I can tell you more gravity means more competition as well.

Also, when dealing with health products especially - you need to be very careful.

Keep in mind you are suggesting things that can affect peoples health. And without your health you are nothing.

A real review is helpful. Don't just trust that because it is on clickbank it is ok.

Get a copy for yourself, and return if it is no good.

I'm not very clear what you mean by more gravity means more competition as well. So for Master Cleanse Secrets with a gravity of 127... there's alot of competition and I should avoid?

Yes, I'll personally review the products to see if they are good before promoting them

My advice is to learn how to write. Writing will always give you something to fall back on and ultimately make you a lot of cash if you get really good. Writing's also much less risky than other forms of internet marketing. Just a thought.

Affiliate marketing is the best way to get started with internet marketing. Both the products you specified are good ones.

Make sure that you start with article marketing as it is free and you will get valuable experience in writing which will be very important in your internet marketing career.

I think affiliate marketing is the best way to go. I am just starting out on the affiliate marketing and had pretty much the same questions but thanks to this thread, I have learned a lot.

I guess you chose the best one that can help you earn money from it out of promoting their products. But I have given only two choices so I chose Master Cleanse to promote for. Because it has 127 gravity rather than Master Cleanse Insider of 2.41 gravity. The most important is that you know how to market your product. And you know what are most clicked or most known by the customers.

Take Christie's advice: Content is King > Start writing articles and you'll become good at it over time. Start building your long term virtual real estate...

Your Copy will also improve, as you carry out online research for terms and definitions in the Internet Marketing field.

Whatever you do concentrate on traffic, no traffic no sales. As a beginner you have chosen well to start with article marketing, however it is not as easy as some people would have you believe. Yes you will need to publish articles but you also need to drive traffic and links to those articles, without it the articles you work hard on writing will be replaced by new ones as soon as they are posted.
One more thing, do not try to design websites yourself, buy a ready made affiliate review site and work from there, if you can start building your list. There are some very good ready made affiliate templates available as WSO's, start with one of these.
If I were you I would buy a good affiliate template, write 5 articles per day but publish only one to Ezinearticles, use other 4 to drive links to both your affiliate website and Ezinearticle articles, bookmark both your website and your articles.
Do not expect to be millionaire in one month, try to set small goals like $100/day in three months and $300/day in six months.

Article marketing is definitely the way to go. You can basically make money by spending time or money. PPC is spending money. Article marketing is spending time. It works!
