Default Linking to CB vendor pages - as opposed to a "Review" site

i would like to know whether someone did conversion testing, aka

) Linking to CB vendor sites (example: health remedies)
as opposed to
) let them land on a review site and talk about the product highly, and THEN refer the reader to the vendor page.

(Quality score is not an issue - i am interested in the plain conversion rates).
A review site basically would "tune" the customer into buying mode before he sees the vendor page - thus the vendor page can actually be UGLY, and he would still buy based on the review?

Really depends on how good the review page is.

Sometimes it just gets in the way of a great sales process. Other times a killer review page can give the customer a "nudge" that will overcome a crappy sales page.

As always, it depends on your review page and the product...testing for each one is the only way.
