A few useful tips for wso buyers

If you are disappointed with more than 50% of your wso purchases and running the risk of being stamped as a serial refunder, this is for you.

Buy only what you really need (software and/or courses that are 100% relevant to your current situation and can help you build your business)

Do NOT buy any wso on its launch day, no matter how glorious endorsements you are getting in your inbox, no matter how many raving testimonials you see in the thread.

Subscribe to wso threads that caught your attention and WAIT!

Monitor those wso threads (read emails with new posts) for a minimum of 3 days. If there are no signs at all that the product could be a half-crap/crap (or problematic in any way), chances are that it is a good product and it's safe to buy it. I know that sometimes it's very tempting to buy that 'shiny object' straight away, but trust me, this will save you a lot of unnecessary hassle.

In the meantime, check the wso seller's history. Allways do that. Take a closer look at seller's previous wsos and even other threads and posts.

Do NOT care about price increase (dime sales) and early beard bonuses.
You want to buy a good, useful product that can help you build your business, right? Look, even if you pay the maximum price for an excellent product, you WIN! On the other hand, if you pay lowest price and get a crappy product...you lose! What option do you think is better for you?

If you are extremely happy with your purchase subscribe to be notified on future wsos from that seller.

    Great tips. I would also like to add that think with a common sense whether it's even possible to deliver what the sales letter promises. There's so many WSOs that obviously can't deliver what they promise but still people seem to buy. This creates a cycle that keeps creating more crappy products that are only made to create a quick buck with the latest trend.

    I have bought things on Warrior I don't use. Most I don't use, but I always get some info I can use, so I think spending 6 or 7 dollars for that info is worth it to me. I am thankful that I get so many interesting products to choose from!!

      Excellent list. I would add:

      Read the sales copy and ask yourself just what you might be buying. If the sales letter is short on what the product is and long on what it isn't, pass it by. Odds are, the seller is using blind copy for a reason - if you knew what you were actually getting, you wouldn't buy.

        Yes, it's always a good idea to ask other warriors if there is a proven wso product/service that you could have use of for your particular needs. There are quite many good older wsos that you might not be aware of without someone's recommendation.

        Absolutely. Use common sense when estimating 'what's in it' for you.

        Completely agree with you. Don't buy anything that's sold through 'blind' copy. Would you merry a girl who you have never seen, only because a total stranger is recommending her?


        I would also add this: write down a list of software and services that you need for your projects and don't buy anything else. That's what I do, really. I always write down a list of items that I need for my projects. That list saves me a lot of money since I don't buy anything that is not on it.

    This is valuable information everyone should read.. I have bought several crappy WSO's, but never got any refund. Probably because of the low prices. But having your recipe in my mind I will think different next time before buying

    Buy from people with a track record on WF. Buy from people who tend to specialize in a niche topic, not ones who produce WSOS on every topic. Just my thoughts to add.

    I agree that sellers should do a better job about establishing more transparency with what their product is, and what it isn't. This way, even if it costs them some sales, they can and should be filtering out people whom aren't in a postiion to take advantage of the knowledge.

      Hate to tell you this, CM, but an over-the-top raving review plus an affiliate link could do more harm than good. If nothing else, it will likely put the review in question under scrutiny.

      Better to leave an honest review without trying to write another sales letter. Tell people about your experience, sans hype. You'll do the seller a lot more good.

    One useful tip for WSO buyers.

    Don't go window shopping. Going into the WSO forum with no plan of action is like walking into the supermarket when you are hungry. You are going to end up buying a whole load of stuff you didn't really need.

    Don't get me wrong. There are a lot of great products in the WSO forum but you should only go seeking those products out if and when you need them.

    Good advice from Will R, only buy products that are going to help you in your business RIGHT NOW. Otherwise what will happen is you will get distracted and start doing something else before finishing what you should have been working on OR that product will gather 'virtual dust' on your hard drive.

    I think this is the most important point. But I'd even add to that by including..."check out the WSO sellers reputation and overall long term contribution to this forum"...

    I've also always personally thought that members who have had a regular input into this forum should be the only ones who get the privilege of being able to post WSO's.

      A terrific list and a real guiding light for potential buyers Alminc.

      To be honest, I've never actually asked for a refund on anything I've bought except one WSO. I've always been of the opinion that for the few dollars they cost, I've been happy to treat them as a lesson in valuable information. There has ALWAYS been many times more than a few bucks worth of learning in everything I've bought.

      The one thing I did ask to refund, the guy point blank refused to even answer my emails. That was another lesson learned too. Expect the unexpected

    Good tips, i agree with all the posts above.

    I would also suggest to use your common sense and make a basic research on the topic you are going to buy WSO.
    All the over hyped wso's, it's usually a BS, stay away from those.
    Example:
    Not long time ago, i saw new WSo about adult CPA. I Usially buy a lot of products related to the subject, because it's my main niche.
    Well, the first moment i saw the thread, it was clear that its a scam.
    Many bought it, and wrote it a scam, just 2 weeks later, after they tried it and felt. It was obvious from the beginning, and i believe, a small research would save them time and money.

    Great tips. There are many junk WSOs and this few tips will prevent me from buying junk product. I agree with your point on paying money for quality product. If the product is good and it is actionable, it will be worth it's price.

    When looking for products to buy make sure you are actually going to use them. Getting an amazing product for 90% off does you no good if you don't use the thing!

    I always look for products that save me time. If something can help me achieve a task I am going faster than it is worth spending the money on!

    A LOT of people buy something because it's on sale, or they believe it is. As far as the solo ads, what a wild wild world that is! Lots to learn. For someone looking to buy their first one (and follow-ups), I'm taking my time and learning all I can. This forum is a big help!

    Cool tips Alminc. I dont buy much WSO's... last one i bought was around last year or so. It helped somewhat... it was $7, and was "ok", but wasn't any breakthrough sales using the preferred marketing strategy that the author was teaching. Nevertheless, hopefully people will take your tips to heart.
