Advice on how to generate leads of businesses interested in promoting and marketing their products

Hey everyone. My first post here but have been reading these forums for a while.

I'm in the midst of an online venture and the biggest obstacle I've encountered is generating leads. We need leads that are very interested in online product promotion. There are tons of companies out there that are launching a new product and need a way to promote it, but for some reason I am having trouble with finding them.

If anyone has any ideas or tips, I'd gladly appreciate it. I'm even considering hiring someone to handle the marketing end and just bring in the leads if possible.

B2B lead gen and sales can be tough; but also very rewarding. You have to reach decision makers and convince them as to why they should do business with you. Anyway, you may want to go offline and rent b2b mailing lists from a reputable list broker and reach your target market this way. Of course, there's also good ol' fashioned cold calling and canvassing.

But I think you may be limiting yourself if you're looking to only go after those who are launching a product. Maybe your target market already has existing products and are looking to make the transition to the web... or am I misunderstanding your original goal?

Anyway, there are plenty of prospects. Just have to correctly identify their needs and provided them your solutions. Best of luck

Some good comments, Jaggy. When you say rent a mailing list, you mean send them physical letters? Where would I find such a reputable list broker? Would this be more effective than email? You're right, I can absolutely go after people looking to promote existing products. Doesn't need to be new products

You sure you want to operate in this niche? If you can't answer the question on your own, then it suggests that you will have a hard time creating a real frontend and backend business in the future. But if you outsource the work to someone else... make sure they're qualified.

I recently wrote a paper listing 5 effective ways to get online leads. You can download the free paper at Sales Prospecting - 5 Tips for Online Sales Leads Today!.

These methods work because I use them myself. They bring in multiple qualified leads daily, some of whom have signed contracts.
