Clickbank Vendors...Anything Fishy With You??

Ok guys...

We've seen all the long threads regarding affiliate tracking issues with clickbank, but what about vendor issues?

Really!

I want to know if other vendors that use the actual clickbank payment processor are going through problems of their own. I'm noticing the same exact problems that affiliates are having just with my product and site. I've heard that clickbank has been going through problems as of late with their actual processor. Someone tries to buy but can't or it doesn't load etc.

Have any other vendors been experiencing any of these issues? Or am I the only one?

I (thankfully) haven't had any problems with Clickbank's tracking yet... Have you tried contacting them about this problem?

    Alex,

I sure have! They give me the usual rundown of how it can't be anything on their end and for me to check all my links and so on. But it's nothing on my end....

I have mounds of data that show very strange trends that are just not right for my service and site. We're talking about 5 months of data, and recently there's just too much off things occurring....and no I don't think it's related to the economy. I'm just in market that needs it regardless (that's not to say that I have in some way been affected by it, but not like this, and not in these strange patterns.)

I guess I'm the only one? The lack of responses might actually be a good thing

I had issues as well.. I took my product down, as it needed updated anyways, and will probably go with 2checkout when I release it again.

edit: i did not have it in the marketplace, and did not use affiliates, so don't think I left any affiliates high and dry

I also haven't had my product in the market place, and no affiliates have been affected. I would suggest that you look over 2checkouts terms first. They seem to be very strict about almost everything that they allow.

I'll look into again, but I don't recall anything unusual or unexpected.. However, it IS rather hard to find info on their site, so I may have missed something.

I have Clickbank accounts, and one is strictly for affiliates - all traffic to the site comes through affiliate links. All my affiliates are still getting credit.

Sales from my other accounts are holding steady, too.

Over the last few days I'm seeing lower sales across all my vendor accounts.

I'm also getting emails from people stating that they cannot order. So yes, something is up.

Clickbank is screwed right up. They always reply back with some patronizing rhetoric saying there is no problems. A few minutes later sales just magically appear though.

I'm in the works of closing down my account and shipping out. I write them around 3 complaint emails a week and they just don't seem to be getting the message.

Every now and then, I'll have someone email to tell me their order won't go thru CB processor. Maybe once a week or two.

Usually, by the time I read and respond to the email, the customer has tried again and ordered successfully.

I know this should really annoy me due to potential lost sales, but the way I look at it is this - no matter WHAT online payment processor you use, there WILL be glitches and hiccups. Since Clickbank accepts PayPal, too - there are times it's not even Clickbank's fault because it is PayPal that is having a glitch, ya know?

All in all, I haven't seen any trend that concerns me.

    Just my two cents

      Thanks for your response Jennifer,

But you have to look at other factors here too. For example, think of how many people try to order, and don't care enough, change their mind, or lost trust in you and never email you about the problem.

Of course every payment processor has problems and glitches here and there, you can't get away from those things. But the question is does one have many more than the other. 2checkout for example could glitch every 1/500 buyers and clickbank 1/100. For me that's a big problem, and that part of my business has be tweaked. Get what I mean?
