Yes, blogging and IM are one and the same when blogging is used as one of the constituents of IM for business purposes. Call yourself an entrepreneur if you wish. Anyone in business - whatever business - could be termed an entrepreneur.

    No - definitely not!

Millions of bloggers have no intention of marketing anything at all.

    Not necessarily, or intrinsically, no.

Some bloggers write and post pictures about their family vacations in Hawai'i, so that their relatives in Australia and New Zealand can find out what their families are up to, and watch the kids growing up, without needing to use the mail. Some blogs belong to charities who are appealing for money. Some are just hobbies. Some are pollitical. And so on, and so forth - there are countless reasons for blogging, many of which have absolutely no connection with marketing or entrepreneurship at all.

    Blogging isn't intrinsically a "career".

It's something that can be used by some people in their careers, as a specific form of website design/presentation method, and although it's generally taken as referring to "a regularly updated website", even the definition of a "blog" is actually far from clear, these days. There are many websites which look like "static sites" but are technically "blogs" in that they're made from "blogging software", just as there are many regularly updated personal diary-ish types of website which aren't made with "blogging software" at all.

There's plenty of blogging without entrepreneurship, and there's certainly plenty of entrepreneurship without blogging! The connection between the two is a pretty tangential one, really.
