The best conversions are...

I've got to admit, when lots of people told me they were getting loads over 10% optin I was pretty skeptical.

Sure, obviously some people would be doing it, but surely not everyone? Maybe I was wrong.

I guess the best conversions I think are through articles, either guest posting or syndication.

I've just had my first guest post for my new blog published yesterday and I'm getting about 33% optins.

Before I had quite a lot of visitors through social bookmarking, forum posting and a tiny bit SEO. It hardly brought in any optins compared to the above figures.

I've not tested any paid forms yet, but I'm tempted to just keep writing guest posts and trying to syndicate articles.

Just a friendly piece of advice for anyone who is building a list and targeting the wrong traffic methods.

Article marketing is a great lead generation tool for list building, because your prospect has had 500 to 1000 words to get to know you and trust you, before they subscribed.

No other form of advertising has that built-in pre-sales page that is so capable of building the trust you need to skyrocket your conversions.

I agree that article marketing is the way forward. I am having success with Social Marketing even though it takes up alot of time so much so that I have automated a large part of it now.

Pics or it didn't happen .

Figured I'd say it before someone less happy did.

Always wanted to check if guest posting really brings you targeted traffic. At least, in theory it should...

After seeing your post I will definitely ready to try this method

      It's something I've read a lot about.

It really is something you (as in people) need to see for yourself. I have another guest post coming out in the future on a popular personal development blog. I can't wait to see the stats and compare them to these.

Currently I'm getting good results with paid traffic.
MediaBuys and PPC specifically. Affiliates provide a nice boost as well.

My highest opt-in rate was 52% with an exit POP up.
In my experience Video converted much higher than a bunch of text.
Never tried content syndication before, glad to know its working well for you.

At the end of the day it all boils down to traffic & conversions.

    33% is sweet mate..

In the IM niche I get 20% opt in rates. In other niches I get about 30%.

    Congrats on your success mate.

  • I've had my best opt-in ratios from email swaps and solos, since traffic is already coming in warmed up by the list owner.
