Hello all,

Am almost done with my first website (that I actually plan to release). It is designed as a squeeze page - to collect mail user IDs when integrated with Aweber (which I have not done yet). This is a site for training materials and videos for a subject that has been hard to get a hold of in the past.

I'm pretty new at this tagline stuff - so - any input would be greatly appreciated :-)

I thought of the following:

First Learn More. Then Earn More.
Knowledge Is Power.
The More You Learn. The More You Earn.

I thought of this one: Job Security. How Is Yours? (and then go into how adding more skills would help in that area)
but it seems a bit negative.

TIA and regards.

What is your objective? What do you wish to gain ... clients, students, ebook buyers ...? Do you have any major competition? If so, what is their tagline?

For me, without knowing specifically what you are writing about or your sub-niche, coming up with an effective tagline is a bit more difficult. But I would love to help you.

I agree, a little more info on what you are trying to accomplish and it would be a little easier to help out with some sort of tagline. Good luck with your first site by the way!

Perhaps something that simply describes in few words what the site is about, instead of a "slogan"?

People are more prone to moving away from misery or negative things then to move towards positive things..

    Example in my gout niche:

"Get rid of your gout and enjoy your new lease on life"

"Avoid perment damage to your joints from gout - Get rid of gout now before it's too late"

The second one will make people fearful of what could happen so they take action and buy the product. So I would say you should go for "Job Security. How Is Yours?"

So you had more traction in your niche with the second choice? Was it a little or a lot?

Here are a few I will throw out there:

    -No brain. No Gain.

    -Great Minds Earn Alike

Maybe take a well known and catchy phrase and twist it into your own tagline.

I used to work for a company that deals with ERP software. The software (itself) is very difficult to use, expensive and tricky to install. For a topic composing of 8 classes, each class for the topic would be in the neighborhood of $4000. In the old days (during the Y2K scare), one could get between $100 - $200 per hr. for being able to use it.

Of course, the rates are a bit lower now but still good.

Because of the rates and the difficulty to use the product, most consultants were not willing to share what they had learned (out of fear of creating competitors I suppose) or provide vague explanations. The original developing language of the software is German; so, docs are translated from that. They have gotten better with a free help forum though.

So, I thought I would make some ~good~ videos / tutorials on the topics that seemed to be of interest and sell them on a website. From what I have seen, people will not buy unless they have to. So - the thought was to put part I of a popular topic on YouTube and let them have access to Part 2 for a fee. There would be a membership as well with bronze (free), silver and gold levels.

I have not figured out a good pricing point as of yet
