Hi all

Aside from writing articles for syndication, what do you guys think of the other method of submitting articles to sites like Triond and Infobarrel where 'revenue' is generated via advertising (typically Adsense and Amazon I guess) that is strategically placed next to the article.

I appreciate that revenue generation from these methods is likely to be passive but very slow. Also (with infobarrel at least) they don't like you submitting articles anywhere else other than their site.

Are any of you doing this type of article marketing with any degree of success? If there's any mileage in this, what sites would you recommend?

As I don't have any product to sell in terms of backlinks I don't think article syndication is particularly relevant to me. As I write for a living as a B2B magazine editor I'd like to explore what options are available to me purely from a writing perspective which I can do pretty well.

Thanks and kind regards

I have heard of people making decent money on revenue sharing sites like these, however I get the impression that they are very much the exception. I believe most people see little to no income from them at all.

Happy to be proved wrong, but this is the impression I got when I considered some of these sites some time ago.

Write for places that actually pay you, rather than sites that may or may not pay you in.years to come.

If you are writing for a living as a B2B magazine editor article syndication and revenue sharing doesn't seem like a great idea.

Wouldn't you be better off selling your articles to publishers or building a business via blogging?
