Reading, Writing, Rithamic ... Internet Marketing?

With selling online becoming more of the norm, should public schools start teaching it in high school, at least as an elective? Do you teach your children Internet marketing in any way?

Chances are higher your child or grandchild will work for an Internet company rather than a brick and mortar company or manufacturer as time goes by. Public schools, especially in the U.S seem slow to react.

    Absolutely not.

    Assuming rethamic is arithmetic, they should simply put on an extra spelling class :p

    The purpose of schools is to educate children and young adults so that they can pursue a career in their chosen field. Internet marketing is a chosen field. You're skipping a step.

    As well as that, teenagers should never be informed that they can make a living from their computers. If they find it out by themselves, fair enough, but let's not teach the next generation that they don't need a quality education, nor a career path. It would be catastrophic.

    Everything a person needs to become a successful internet marketer is available for anyone, for free, on the internet itself. I would despair if class time was being wasted on teaching young children about what so many would see as an easy life.
