Help! DRASTIC DROP - Someone is Stealing my Traffic!

My site is 5+ years old and has been at the top of Google and still is for its main keywords for the entire time up until May 2012. I currently have top 1-4 listings for my keywords. Yet My traffic went from 25,000 Unique Visitors and 3 Millions Hits to 1000 Unique Visitors and 50,000 Hits starting in April.

Just today I found customer profiles in my admin panel that had keywords in the address section right around the same time this started. Do you think someone is stealing my traffic. What would cause such a drastic drop?

What is the title of a person that I would need to hire to analyze this problem?

    If you are on a WordPress site, you need someone who specializes in WordPress security.

    Regardless, you need a web security specialist to take a look at your site.

    Although I don't think they are stealing your traffic exactly, they may be filtering off some of your traffic.

    The first place I would be looking is your htaccess file, no matter what platform your website is built upon.

      What Bill said is correct about the access file. That's number 1.

      You may want to just download the free bullet proof security plugin if you're on a WP platform. It does a pretty nice job on the access file. Not quite bullet proof like their name says but if someone wanted it after the plugin install they would have to have some skills.

      And in that case their is no security that can't be hacked.

    Thank you for your advise - the site is not wordpress- it is a retail website on Cubecart shopping cart.
