Need some advice on a new project

The owner of IWANTTHISSTUFF.COM is my friend and just gave it to me. Its a 7 year old domain.

Guys any ideas on the kind of site i could build with this?

  • A store? What kind?
  • A site that shows one offer a day and another the next day?
  • Maybe subdomains with different products?

Let the juices flow brothers and sisters...

    That couldn't be more generic as far as keyword go - after all what is "stuff". For a keyword specific domain it is very weak. I mean how many searches are there for "stuff" and what kind of stuff are we talking about? You can put whatever you want on there. That domain won't help you rank worth $hit. It will be all about the content you put on that site. If you want a hot niche that pays 70% commish on every $197 sale and converts like hot cakes then send me a PM. Not trying to hype it up but the niche is easy to make money in. There is only one affiliate program of its kind for this product.

    But you will have to write some content, probably a fair amount consider the "stuff domain". You might just want to ditch that domain and get one with some decent keywords in it - Make your life easier.

    I could be wrong though. Maybe there is a huge market for "stuff"

    I think abacies' suggestion above is good. It may be a proper domain for a very general C2C marketplace like Fiverr or EBay... A place where people can find practically everything.

    Hi, I think this is more suited to a "lads" type gadget site. (Think GQ style articles) However to set such a thing up would swallow vast amounts of capital.

    I would create a daily up dated blog with a "cool wall" offering various items which would then link back to an established gadget site. You then get a comm as an affiliate. Plus you get to build a list that you can mail out "one off" special offers to. I would also make sure that the site a mobile version. Hope this helps you. Andrew

    this is exactly what I thought when I read the domain. Big competition though, but you could probably run the whole thing through Amazon affiliates......
