I may actually start a service for this one day just due to how many people I see making threads like this.

I have quite a bit of experience with adobe after effects/powerdirector and my real skills lie and sound engineering. I can make ANY type of sound effect for videos, hans zimmer styled orchestral music, tribal music, ANYTHING you want. Thats for sound though. With video I'm still learning as I only started 3 years ago, with sound I've been practicing for 11 years now.

Have also studied music therapy, art therapy, how sounds/images effect emotion, colors/tone/pitch etc etc. Its what I did my college thesis on.

PM me if you need any help. Not sure I can work for free but I can probably help you find everything you need or give you some pointers.

Check out some gigs on Fiverr. You can find some very good quality gigs on there for creating YouTube content and getting it posted onto video sites or submitted onto YouTube.

I'm not so sure about the Fiverr recommendation. I ordered videos from a couple different providers who were very highly rated, and the videos were junk. And when I say "junk," I mean unusable. As in things like pictures of weird, dead-eyed people giving you a thumbs up being used as filler in the videos. Maybe you would have better luck, and I guess it's not much risk for five bucks. But it didn't work out for me.

Sorry to hear Fiverr didn't work out for you.
I have had great success with some of the gigs now. I think you have to be very specific with instructions and provide own images and content.
That worked out well for me.

You might want to consider filming it yourself! You can get pretty professional results if you invest about $1000 in setting up a studio. We actually just published an ebook on building your own in-house video production studio:

Choose any producer you want but make sure you get creative input from those guys. Also there are some dedicated sites like thestartupvideos.com , videomakers, etc who will tell you how great you can make videos especially do's and don'ts.

Also check Greatlance.com/deal to get to know some creative deals on video making.

Best way is to make em yourself, that way you know they are yours and you can add all the little marketing tricks etc.

With the right tool you can make them pretty fast as well.

Animoto and Prezi are good free options

there are some good wsos too (indeed some of my best wso experiences have been with video software)

then of course you have some pretty nifty free software like windows movie maker and a host of others that will do a good job for you, they don't have every bell and whistle but then again I assume you are not producing a trailer for a hollywood movie - people sometumes are too eager to pay bucks for more established elite software when if they took the time to learn the features of the more basic stuff i think they would realise that the basic stuff can cater for most of their needs

Hi Chloe!

You wouldn't be asking for video creation companies if you could make the videos yourself right? :-) but actually, yes you can do it yourself and sometimes it can be cheaper. When it comes to video creation software, there are always freewares available when you search in the internet. Just make sure to do some research on user comments, etc. before downloading and installing a software.

If your searching for cheap video production, then don't look for companies. Go to those freelancer websites like oDesk or eLance and hire individual contractors on a contractual basis. That will be much cheaper than actually going to companies who make professional videos. To lower costs even more, try to do bulk of the job yourself like preparing scripts designs and other components to a point where the contractor will only have to assemble, fix, and encode. With that, you will surely be charged cheaper.

Fiver.com is a great resource for short videos. You can also look around in Craigslist for a local cheap contractor that's willing to work for cheap (a lot of freelancers are hungry for work and will do a job for bread and butter these days.) Its a tough life for us Multimedia Designers. Just remember, cheap work doesn't always mean GOOD WORK. Sometimes you'll get a rare apple or two that are cheap and have great work.

The last ideas I have for you is someone here on the Warrior Forum, or you could always look into outsourcing to someone overseas, this is particularly what we do with Website Design, and small video project.
