How do you manage your clients and outsourced work?

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some programs they use for managing their clients. As I've got above 10 clients right now managing them is becoming quite a challenge. keeping track of the all the outsourced worked and billing are my two problems. I am testing mavenlink.com but that doesnt seem to be quite what I am looking for.

I don't really have the answer; just posting here because I need advice on the same thing.

Organization really becomes the number one problem the minute that getting new business STOPS being a problem.

I oversee 40+ consultants on 15+ engagements across Canada, with some offshore staff.
All are software / internet projects.

    The key for me is:
    1) Google spreadsheet for each project with permissions for each worker to update their daily hours. I export that to MS-Excel to get costs, and $ burn rates, and in the end, invoices.
    2) MSoft Project Plan for each project to track tasks.
    3) Abundant use of task reminders in Outlook.
    4) Daily morning stand-up meetings to get everyone on the same page, and air concerns.
    5) Weekly status reports to the clients.

Final word of advice, get some Project Management training, I'm a certified PMP, and it helps me *every day*.

    Good Luck!

We have 30+ projects going at anytime that are completed by our offshore staff.

Easiest way we've found to manage them it to use either Basecamp.com or Trello.com.

We've just moved to basecamp from trello to get that added features

To get a full view of what each staff members has to do we also use DashStack which integrates into basecamp.

    Powerful stuff!

Let me chime in with Salesforce (wish it was an affiliate link)

Social Enterprise & CRM in the cloud - Salesforce.com

I use it as my customer relationship manager. All emails sent from my staff originate from there. Projects can therefore be quantified.

My .03, hope this is a partial solution for you,
