Barry Richardson Passes away

by 207 comments
Hi All

At around 7 am this morning a dear friend and business partner of mine passed away. Barry Richardson was know on the forum as a nice guy and he will be missed. Its strange that just 3 weeks ago Barry asked me if I would help his wife Martha with his business if anything ever happened to him.

I wanted to let everyone know of his passing and that at this time the cause of death isn't known he will undergo an autopsy later today. When I have more news I will let you know.

Please if you know Barry be kind enough not to fill his email with condolences right away. Allow Martha a couple of days to get herself together. I will be helping her with Barry's business as soon as she is able to devote some time to it.

Barry was one of my best friends and I will miss him dearly. If you have questions you can write me and I will do my best to answer you quickly.

I will be setting up some kind of fund on behalf of Martha in the near future if you are so inclined to help.

This is a shock and when I got the word about and hour after his passing I was stunned and I will be doing all I can to help Martha.

I will post back here as soon as I have more news.

I just got off the phone with Martha. Barry has been a very dear friend to us over the past few years, and this is a great loss for everyone who knew him.

Martha is at a complete loss. If we could get a list of people who did work for Barry it would help.

Jim, give a yell and I will do everything I can to help. Barry did the same for me when Scott got sick.

I know Barry had been having a slump in his business just like a lot of us, so Martha is going to have a lot of bills that she will not be able to handle right now.

Wow -- I also didn't personally know Barry, but I certainly saw him around this forum and elsewhere. Rest in peace, Barry... and comfort to Martha.

Thank you all for you kind posts.

Barry was a great guy and helped a lot of people.
I will post what news I get as soon as it comes in.

I know Barry had a lot of friends on here and on behalf
of his wife Martha we thank you.

    What sad news.

Barry was one of the most helpful and friendly
veteran Warriors and he quietly helped a
significant number of people.. mostly behind
    the scenes.

He'll be missed and his family will be very much
    in my thoughts and prayers.

This is terrible news. I've enjoyed Barry's posts on the forum over the years.

Please count me in for anything that I can do to help. I feel terrible for his wife.

When my dad died unexpectedly I was the one who had to make sense of everything with no way to ask what was what and what was where and it's unbelievably difficult to deal with --- even as you cope with the tremendous loss.

I'd be honored to offer my support, services, whatever might ease that burden for his wife. Just ask.

    RIP Barry.

While I do not recognize the name offhand, from the sound of it, Barry was one of the good guys and that he'll be missed by many.

Please let us know what we can do for Martha and the family. Like you said, the bills will be coming fast and furious within the next month or so. No matter one's financial situation, they can be a heavy burden when you are in the grieving process. Let's help her out!

My sincerest condolences to Barry's family and friends.
Losing a loved one is an event that's never easy to come
to grips with and I offer a prayer for his survivors.

Barry was so alive - I have been a list subscriber of Barry's for a long time. Hopefully Martha will be able to keep things going with your help Jim.

Keep us posted and let us all know what can be done to help.

I'm really sorry to hear that Jim.

I didn't know Barry all that well, but I was just talking to him on Skype earlier this week. He seemed like he was just living another day... nothing abnormal at all.

My heart goes out to his family in dealing with everything.

So sorry to hear this. I did not know this person, but what is ironic is that this morning I received an email promoting one of his special offers which I purchased.

Unfortunately the download link did not work and I was not able to get my purchase.

    Two things this points out to all of us;

First, once again a reminder that life is special yet fragile and none of us know how long we will be in this place.

Second, from a business perspective, we need to think of continuity of our own businesses and get our family involved at least on the backend whenever possible.
This is something I have personally neglected.

Please don't worry about your purchase I will be sure you get the download or a refund.

Thanks to all of you who have posted I will let you know as soon as I can what progress has been made in finding out the cause of Barrry's death.

I am sure Martha will feel better knowing that so many of you cared enough to post bak here and as I said before if you need help please contact me at the email address in my original post on here. I can't make you any promises that I will have all the answers but I will do my best to help if I can.

      Thank you all

Damn, another fallen soldier. WTF is going on???

That's 2 in the last few weeks.

I'm in shock to hear this...

Barry was one of the few people online I can always count on. He's worked for me and we've partnered on many projects over the last 6 years...a more dedicated person you wont find...

    I'm at a loss...

Barry, I love you brother, and you will be missed, and never forgotten.

I have worked with Barry a few times and there aren't many people who I would say I'd enjoyed working with more, a great guy and he will be sorely missed.

    My condolences to his family,

      Hey Jim,

Thanks for keeping us up to date. As with the others, i'm in total shock since I just talked with him late last night. Oddly, I felt something was wrong then, but didn't press him.

PLEASE do let me know how I can help in any manner here, Jim.

My condolences to Martha, and to everybody that knew him as many of us did.

      All My Best,

      Kathe

(Jim I'll email you my phone number, just in case)

My sincerest condolences to the Richardson family and all who knew him.

Barry helped me when I first got started in Internet Marketing in 2004 and gave me
my first hosting reseller account. He was always going out of his way to help as many
    people as he could.

    He will be missed

PS. A shock to say the least...

Very sad news- did not really know him personally, but have bought from him and seen him around here and other places online.

Who was the other person who was lost recently? I must have missed that news.
