Hi All At around 7 am this morning a dear friend and business partner of mine passed away. Barry Richardson was know on the forum as a nice guy and he will be missed. Its strange that just 3 weeks ago Barry asked me if I would help his wife Martha with his business if anything ever happened to him. I wanted to let everyone know of his passing and that at this time the cause of death isn't known he will undergo an autopsy later today. When I have more news I will let you know. Please if you know Barry be kind enough not to fill his email with condolences right away. Allow Martha a couple of days to get herself together. I will be helping her with Barry's business as soon as she is able to devote some time to it. Barry was one of my best friends and I will miss him dearly. If you have questions you can write me and I will do my best to answer you quickly. I will be setting up some kind of fund on behalf of Martha in the near future if you are so inclined to help. This is a shock and when I got the word about and hour after his passing I was stunned and I will be doing all I can to help Martha. I will post back here as soon as I have more news. __________________________________________________ ______________ Thanks to Ryan Bessling who has setup a donation page for Barry's family. If you would like to help out here is the link all proceeds go direct to the family. Donations Here Jim Miller jfmiller@maine.rr.com |

While I am too new to this forum to recognize the name, I do understand what it is to lose a loved one suddenly like that. My prayers go out to the family. It is a great thing to see that you are willing to help his wife with the business. I know she appreciates it. I, too, will watch for any fundraising and give as I can. As always, I stand ready to serve. |

Jim I just got off the phone with Martha. Barry has been a very dear friend to us over the past few years, and this is a great loss for everyone who knew him. Martha is at a complete loss. If we could get a list of people who did work for Barry it would help. Jim, give a yell and I will do everything I can to help. Barry did the same for me when Scott got sick. I know Barry had been having a slump in his business just like a lot of us, so Martha is going to have a lot of bills that she will not be able to handle right now. Sharlene |

What sad news. Barry was one of the most helpful and friendly veteran Warriors and he quietly helped a significant number of people.. mostly behind the scenes. He'll be missed and his family will be very much in my thoughts and prayers. John |

This is terrible news. I've enjoyed Barry's posts on the forum over the years. Please count me in for anything that I can do to help. I feel terrible for his wife. When my dad died unexpectedly I was the one who had to make sense of everything with no way to ask what was what and what was where and it's unbelievably difficult to deal with --- even as you cope with the tremendous loss. I'd be honored to offer my support, services, whatever might ease that burden for his wife. Just ask. RIP Barry. Brian |

While I do not recognize the name offhand, from the sound of it, Barry was one of the good guys and that he'll be missed by many. ![]() Please let us know what we can do for Martha and the family. Like you said, the bills will be coming fast and furious within the next month or so. No matter one's financial situation, they can be a heavy burden when you are in the grieving process. I'm really sorry to hear that Jim. I didn't know Barry all that well, but I was just talking to him on Skype earlier this week. He seemed like he was just living another day... nothing abnormal at all. My heart goes out to his family in dealing with everything. Quote:

So sorry to hear this. I did not know this person, but what is ironic is that this morning I received an email promoting one of his special offers which I purchased. Unfortunately the download link did not work and I was not able to get my purchase. Two things this points out to all of us; First, once again a reminder that life is special yet fragile and none of us know how long we will be in this place. Second, from a business perspective, we need to think of continuity of our own businesses and get our family involved at least on the backend whenever possible. This is something I have personally neglected. Mick |

I'm in shock to hear this... Barry was one of the few people online I can always count on. He's worked for me and we've partnered on many projects over the last 6 years...a more dedicated person you wont find... I'm at a loss... Barry, I love you brother, and you will be missed, and never forgotten. |

Hey Jim, Thanks for keeping us up to date. As with the others, i'm in total shock since I just talked with him late last night. Oddly, I felt something was wrong then, but didn't press him. PLEASE do let me know how I can help in any manner here, Jim. My condolences to Martha, and to everybody that knew him as many of us did. Hey Guys, I've not been back at the forums as of lately due to my schedule. However when Chris Lockwood tweeted about Barry Richardson passing away, I had to find out. I read some replies. Some were not acquainted with Barry but like Jim Miller, Richard Wing, Ken Reno, and many other folks, I have done business with Barry for a few years - back in 2005 in fact. It's a pity I had never had a chance to meet him in person (I kept postponing plans to visit the US). But his sudden passing without notice is too much a shock for myself to handle. As someone who have done business with Barry, getting in touch with him via MSN and email, Barry is a nice business person and a good customer of mine. Like David Thompson, Barry had been a trustworthy ad swap partner too. Of course, there is more to a person than just through the business channel. I am deeply saddened by his sudden passing and this again, is a reminder that life on Earth isn't everlasting. I am also sure that many other people who have done business or known Barry personally will step forth with a glowing testimonial to his character when he was alive. While I don't know how Barry has passed away, I am certain that a good man like him is in a better place now. God be with him. R.I.P. -- Edmund Loh P.S. My sincerest condolences to Barry's family. It must be hard for them to take it, and I hope that they stay strong. |

Shocked.. that's what I Felt. When I did my first sale.. he was the one who was giving me a great correction about my grammar. Without him saying to me frankly, I would never ever.. learn the word improving. My deepest condolences for family that is in mourning... He is one of the best person in IM scene that was so sincere and honest. So long my good friend... Peace Dee "Barry's friend and fan" |

Barry was one of the kindest marketers I knew. I was fortunate enough to meet him a few years ago at a JV Alert Live seminar, and he even remembered that I did some work for him a few years before that (which I had forgotten about). Since then we had helped each other out a few times and I looked forward to meeting him again. He will be sadly missed. My condolences to Martha and the rest of the family. Joel Osborne |

| I am VERY sorry to hear of Barry's passing. It is never an easy time for friends & family, but some comfort may be given from the many postings here. Jim maybe you could organise something like Big Mike did for a fellow Warrior a few months ago ie peopel who have been helped by Barry could donate some services & or products to the Warrior community to but & the proceeds could go to Martha to help with the many expenses she will have. I did not know Barry personally, but would be willing to help in any way I could. This is a great, caring community, let's get something going ..... please. |

Jim, Socked to hear this. I wasn't enough lucky to know him personally, but made some business with him last year. Barry was a helpful and generous fellow Warrior. We made some email exchange and the last was at 11-30-2008. Barry said he feels not so good himself at that time. Later our dialogue interrupted because of my long hospital treatment. Barry's decent personality will be missed. His family is in my prayers. Rest In Peace Barry Richardson. Jim if I can help in something then I'm here. Sandor |

This is such sad news, and I will miss Barry's contribution to IM as well as just "being there". Barry was always approachable. You could always count on him. And he was always there ... I remember how he put a ton of effort into promoting Easter JV 2006, and got in the top 5. And he also talked about his retirement from work to go full time into IM. That seems like only yesterday. See you Bazza, we will all miss you deeply. Brad Smith |
