Hi everyone.

Thank you for taking the time of being here.

I have a question for you guys.

I want to advertise my service as a personal trainer to general public.
Do you know any sites where I can post or place an ad for free.

I live in UK. The only site that I know at the moment is craigslist.

Any suggestions please.

Thank you for your help in an advance.

I would like to suggest you to make a site on facebook about your website, write articles about your page on hub pages or squidoo and include links to your site, i heard there is also a twitter site in which you can promote yourself.

Who are your top 10 competitors in your market and where are they advertising?

At a minimum, copy what your competition does.

Where is your target audience? Are you offering your personal training services in person, via video, newsletter, etc?

    1) Pay per click (Microsoft Adcenter or Adwords)

    2) Solo ads

    3) On blogs (search on blog directories - such as Blogorama)

    4) On high traffic websites

    5) Free marketing (time invested)

The best idea is to make a separate account on Facebook which only contains information about services. Or on any social website to promote your passion. Approximately, 90% businesses are earning high profit from these social websites free of cost.

For the UK, there are some other free classifieds that you can use:

    locanto
    olx
    ebay classifieds

These have helped me show up at the top of Google here in the US for local stuff. I'd imagine they would do well in the UK too.

Where does your target market congregate? That's the place to advertise first.

Advertising and marketing online is quite simple when you think about.

    1. Find out where your target market hang out online.

    2. Advertise there.

People will try and make it sound a lot more complicated than that but it's really not.

Craigslist is not popular at all in UK, be better to use Gumtree. A couple of free directory sites I could suggest are uksmallbusinessdirectory and searchme4 (both .co.uk). Good luck!
