I Just Reported You For Spamming...

...by mistake.

Yesterday I noticed that I had some "deleted" emails in my spam folder at Gmail. It took me a little bit to figure out what happened.

In Gmail the spam and delete button are right next to each other. I hit spam by accident.

So I checked a couple other places. Hotmail has the same situation but Yahoo's delete and spam buttons are separated.

Maybe there are a lot of false spam complaints due to what I consider a design flaw.

Not sure signing a petition or anything like that would help the powers that be to see how confusing it can be to the end user in a hurry.

Wonder how many others I've done wrong because of this?

If it's from the wife I don't care if it goes in the spam or deleted folder.

Yea I have done the same

Gmail is pretty configurable so I guess the best way is to set up rules for stuff to go into folders.

You can always send feedback to about the spam button them I suppose

    cheers

One thing I did was to change the label on the buttons from a picture to text. See how that works.
