Reverse refund story

INTERNET MARKETING

In all my 93 years of doing business online, this has never happened before.

Someone who bought my product though Clickbank several months ago and got a refund for it just paypaled me back the purchase price.

He said the stuff in the ebook was not working for him at the time he asked for the refund but he later got it to work, so he felt he should send the money back.

(Not that it matters, but the ebook was in a niche having nothing to do with money.)

Amazing stuff, eh?

There are some good humans out there still.

I once had a guy email and say that he had a copy of my product from a friend but it was really good so he felt he should pay for it rather than just steal a copy.

I've had that kind of thing happen but more often I'll get a chargeback then the same guy comes back to hire me again a few months later.

Yeah I have never heard of that. Most refunders laugh at you after they take advantage of you.

I would like to think I am that type. Then again I rarely ask for refunds.

I had the same thing happen about 6 years ago with an ebook purchase.
Customer asked for a refund and I sent it right away and then they bought
the book again and said they preferred help than a refund.

This only occurred once for me though I assume it is rare!

That's pretty awesome Chris. I had a recent guy do a chargeback and then buy the same product w/o a chargeback, lol; that's as close as it got. But you're right; this is rare.

This is too cool, very ethical and is a great example of the hundreds of people who buy, don't use and don't ask for refunds. Sometimes, in the midst of a few refunds, we forget about the products that are sold and never returned.

- AND - I'd like to see a pic of the 93 year old marketer please. You've been marketing online longer than the Internet lives

  I had a similar experience once, a woman filed a complaint with Paypal against me because I had never "shipped" her book. I responded with an apology and an explanation that this was a downloadable book, not a hard copy, and then I issued a refund for her. (I figured she may not know how to download a book since the sales page was clear about what it was!)
  
  A couple days later she bought it again and downloaded it, so I guess she was able to figure it out.
